Looking for a nice place to get your hair done with a great atmosphere and people, then this is the place to go. If you want a great cut and color, then ask for Jennifer. I have really long hair and she manages to create a great style every time I visit! I am someone who is very picky about who cuts my hair. Also, it won't cost you an arm and a leg! more

I have been to Heather and Eve a few times. They equally satisfy me and go above and beyond to make sure I am taken care of. I am pleased with my color and haircut. Eve is slightly more money but she fit me in on a Sunday and that is worth a few dollars more. more

Tricky hair but the best results yet 1/4/2012

I have very tough hair to do. The color is always not quite right and the style is never been easy for me. No matter where i live i never can find someone to at least do a half way good job on my hair let alone a great job. I never get mad, just frustrated. I know it's my hair and not all the hairdressers fault.So once again I try a new salon suggested by a bartender who had great hair.She said to go to Eve or ask her suggest someone for me. Well i am proof that Eve and Emma know what they are doing. They made my life alot easier thanks to a kerratin spray they used and they worked on the color together and it has been weeks and it still looks great.I will not go anywhere else.I actually feel feminine for the first time in years.I can't thank them or the bartender enough. more

This salon has a great new stylist, Robyn. She comes from Florida to bring her own sense of flair and style. I finally got the haircut I was looking for. She listened to my comments and then made it happen. I watched her to beautiful color and highlighting on another client. I highly recommend her if you choose this salon. Thank you Robyn. more

wow been searching for a stylist and found one!! :) 11/29/2011

I recently moved here from up north and has been looking for a salon to stay with. I went to several salons in Charlotte and was very unhappy and was treated bad or just fairly until I accidentally found hair color xperts when i was going to Total Wine on Woodlawn. There i was treated very good, the receptionist showed they really care for their clients. There I met the stylist Emma, she treated me like I'm really there for my money's worth, she was so nice and very tentative to my needs and desire look. I relax there for about 2 hours for the first time in a salon since i moved here. Her work was amazing, I came out looking just the way I image and she even gave me some knowledge about some products. I highly recommend this salon and especially the stylist Emma. :) more

Fabulous hair by Tee Tran! 10/7/2011

I would like everyone to know about a fabulous stylist at Parktowne Hair Color Xperts on E Woodlawn, in Charlotte. His name is Tee Tran. I had him do my hair, and I could not be happier. Not only was I thrilled with the cut and color, but Tee took the time to give me some styling tips. I was given a consultation and Tee made sure that I was comfortable and happy. more

They fixed my PINK hair! 8/26/2011

Eve and T fixed my PINKISH hair.I had a mistake happen at another salon and when they tried to fix it it turned pink and brown.I lived with it for 2days and finally found this salon on here.Nervous does not describe how i felt after what I just went through.T brought Eve over to look at it and she explained how it most likely happened.My options were limited so I got pretty blond high lights.The pink is gone and I am telling everyone how impressed I was with the work they did.You could tell they had done this before and I thought it would have cost alot more then it did.I recomend them. more

Brooke Boettcher has TALENT! I had her take 7 inches off my hair, and give me fashion color accents. I love what she did, and there hasn't been a day that's gone by without someone commenting on how cool my hair looks. more

Can't imagine a better stylist than Brooke Boettcher! 6/10/2011

I have been a client of Brooke's long before she ever started at HairColorXperts... followed her right out of the Aveda Institute! I can't imagine anyone making a comment so malicious as the previous abour her because Brooke is such a PROFESSIONAL when it comes her career. She is so passionate about her work and cares about every one of her clients. She takes great pride in her work. I have sent multiple friends and coworkers to Brooke over the years and I know they also share my love for Brooke and her talent as a beauty expert! Brooke, WE LOVE YOU and tell whomever posted that immature and obviously untrue comment to grow up because I think she's the one who's probably at home playing with 'safety scissors.' more

I checked out this salon over a year ago from the reviews I read and it is now something I look forward to every 6 weeks.I go to Heather, Eve or Julie and all of them treat me like gold.I get highlites and haircut.I let them do whatever they want and I am pleased everytime.I don't feel 45 years old when I leave there,more like 30 again.Give this place a try. more

STAY AWAY FROM BROOKE BOETTCHER 3/3/2011

Actually, I take that one star back. The hair ""specialist"" Brooke Boettcher butchered my hair. I came into the salon and asked for a soft, elegant cut to my shoulders. I left the salon with a MULLET. I suppose she wanted to give me a stacked bob (not what I asked for) but failed and ended up cutting fringe INTO THE BACK OF MY HEAD. Yes, a large chunk of bangs on the back of my head. I looked in the mirror to see the back and just cried. The stylist said it was ""funky"". That's right ladies, not elegant but ""funky"". In other words DISGUSTING. She payed no attention and now I will suffer walking around with Great Clips hair. A toddler with safety scissors could have done a better job, at least it might have attempted to follow instructions. more

Unbelievable for last minute. 3/2/2011

I called on a whim a few days ago because i just had it with my hair. I prefer 1 stylist to do my hair but they had to split me between 2 because it was a busy day i think.So Jen and Eve both spoke with me about my hair and gave me some fun suggestions.Eve did an amazing mixtures of browns without 1 foil and covered my gray, that was new to me and Jen fixed my bad haircut along with a styling tips.These girls were professional as well as loving what they do.I never heard of this place until that day and i booked with them both for april. more

Birkdale location, Tonya is great! 2/28/2011

After trying out a few different salons in Huntersville and being disappointed, i tried tonya at birkdale. She did a great job and made sure i was happy with it. She is very friendly and the prices are decent. I am very happy with their service and the girls are all super friendly. more

Heather is amazing 1/24/2011

Heather is a fabulous stylist! She has been coloring my hair for years now, and I am so happy she is at Hair Color Xperts! She is the only stylist in town who can give me the PERFECT blonde. My highlights look so natural, and I get compliments all the time. I have light olive/yellow undertones in my skin, and Heather knows the right hair color to compliment it and cover my grays. She also does a stellar cut with the right amount of layers. The salon is great, everyone is very nice! more

Eve is my stylist! 1/12/2011

I have had Eve do my haircuts and highlights many times. I originally found her on here awhile back and just found the time to write a review. To sum up my visits with her would be, I sit down grab a magazine and like magic she does flawless work without missing a beat. She knows my likes and my hates so I just let her do her thing. It might be something she just went to class for or something she just thought of for me. She always has something up her sleeve. Try this salon out...get Eve if you can. more

Kristi is amazing! 12/2/2010

I haven't lived in MI for 8 years, but would still fly home to get my hair cut because I could never find anyone who could cut a bob haircut right. I went to Kristi at Hair Color Xperts for the 1st time a few months ago, and have sicne cancelled my hair appointment in MI over Christmas. Kristi can seriously cut hair! For the 1st time in 8 years, I have found someone who cuts my hair better than my home salon that I've been going to for 15 years. Wow! more

The Best 10/29/2010

I can't say enough good things about this salon. I have been all over Charlotte trying to find the right stylist. I have gone to some of the most expensive shops in Charlotte and they do not come close to this place. Julie, my stylist, is just super. She knows my hair better than I do. She is an awesome stylist whether you just want a cut or want to add color. Her personality is light and bubbly. Of course that goes for all of the stylists...Eve...Dan...Trent and the rest of the crew. For the best hair experience at great prices you owe it to yourself to check out HAIR COLOR XPERTS at ParkTown Village off of Woodlawn. Tell them Kathy T sent you. more

Sarah at Birkdale is Wonderful! 10/18/2010

I have had long hair for years, and I had been going to Sarah for about a year getting the same cut and color before I decided to get a different look. Short! Such a change can be pretty scary, but she did an awesome job and I loved it! The best part was her great attitude made me feel at ease and even excited about the new cut. Everyone there is always so friendly and nice. Definitely the best! more

Tonya @ Birkdale is AMAZING! 10/15/2010

I moved here from CO about a year ago and I have had color issues since I've arrived....anything from an inch of dark roots when I left the salon (yes, that's after getting color) to an orange ring around my head!! FRUSTRATING!! I was starting to wonder if I could get good color in NC. I was getting desperate and had even considered a home box color kit. That's when I found haircolorxperts @ Birkdale Village and Tonya! I can't express enough how wonderful & TALENTED she is. This lady is amazing! She listened to my horror stories and made me feel so comfortable. My friends & coworkers have never given me so many compliments on my hair!! I love the location, the prices and most importantly - the sylist! more
