We've been working with Hammer Building for years, and they were so patient with us as we planned our projects. And I mean very patient, as it took us years to get our condo project approved.
First, Bob worked to tear our carport down to the frame and rebuild it so we could replace the roof. He did a great job working with us on the project and dealing with the city for the permits.
But our big project was tearing down a dry-rotted, unsafe stair case in the back of our building, replace it, and extend our landing into a large (by SF standards) deck. Bob worked to educate us on the types of wood we could use and the various options for designing the stairs to fit into the space we had. All while getting it permitted in SF.
We've gone from having very little outside access and no use of our back stairs to having a great outdoor space for grilling and relaxing with friends. Speaking of friends, I've had several come over and comment on the quality of the craftsmanship without any prompting from me.
Jane was also great to work with on all the details of the project, and keeping everything in line.
Hammer Building was recommended to me by a friend, and I'd highly recommend Hammer Building!
