I tried this place because it's near my house and I had read some good reviews on citysearch. When I called ahead, they said there were no appointments, just walk-ins. I went on a Tuesday late afternoon, and only had to wait a couple of minutes. The stylist (Nora) wasn't chatty, what conversation there was was directed at her fellow stylist, but I'm not much for talking to strangers either and she seemed to understand what I wanted. I was surprised when she didn't even ask if I wanted my hair washed (it costs about 2x as much), but I let her cut it dry just for a new experience. I learned that you get a lot more mess that way--when I went home I rinsed my hair and almost had a heart attack because it looked like all my hair was coming out, but it was just what she had cut that hadn't gotten brushed out! She did a pretty good job, especially for the price ($10.99). I'll definitely go back.
Pros: cheap, quick, and decent
Cons: don't expect to be pampered, or even talked to much
