Dr. Nevin Grushka grew up on Long Island, New York before moving to Coral Springs in 1987 for high school. He played football for and then graduated from J.P. Taravella High School. Dr. Grushka spent extensive time studying the human body throughout the course of his education at The Florida State University. His quest for knowledge eventually led him to Atlanta, Georgia, where he studied the science of chiropractic and learned the art of Atlas Orthogonal from the master and inventor, Dr. Roy Sweat. Having played sports his entire life, including 2 years playing soccer for the FSU club team, Dr. Grushka wanted to find a way to better serve athletes. He developed these skills while receiving a sub-specialty in extremity adjusting by spending countless hours in the training room working on world-class athletes. The Atlas Orthogonal technique is a specialized adjusting procedure that uses a table-mounted instrument to adjust the atlas, or the C1 vertebrae.
