Worst optician ever 6/16/2010

Unfriendly customer experiences are very rare in NYC (especially compared to Paris where I come from) but in 30 years of wearing glasses I never had a bad optician experience. Grueneyes was the worst optician experience ever... First couple of times there were uneventful (sunglasses for children, repair for my wife, etc.)! Then it went from worse to worse: - took 5 lengthy explanations to get 3 different opticians working in the same shop to understand what they were supposed to do with my insurance (though it was trivial)... Total lack of organization and office communication... - ended up waiting for 45 minutes twice to see the doc who barely apologized (though to her credit she did a good exam) - had to wait 3 weeks for the frame to arrive in their shop (maybe not their fault as it was imported from Italy I can accept that) - then the frame was the wrong color and the temples did not fit - an optician or should I say shop keeper named Anthony tried to bully me arguing that they fitter perfectly (a good 5 millimeter too short on the temples)... - refused to send it back to get a new one and insisted on me taking them with me - threatened me in the shop and ask his colleague to throw me away All in all, I see no reason to ever stop in their shop With so many opticians to choose from I don't see the point of entering their shop! Pros: carry a good range Cons: Unfriendly and unorganized and not honest more
