Groomingdales

I was outside the shop and heard the goomer yell at the dog on the table, later on I found out it was the owner! Not a PET FRIENDLY shop!!?? I read the letters written on the wedsite...must be paid to praise!! more

I took my dog to Groomingdales because it is close to my house. Both my dog and I were very happy with the experience. When I went to pick up Dex he was happy,wagging his tail and not stressed at all. His cut was great too. I have recommended Groomingdales to others. more

I have two cats, yes CATS, that I take here. My husband's cat is VERY true to her name-"Sassy" and even we have a hard time just getting her in her kennel to take here there, but the groomers there are fantastic. My cat has very long hair so we get him shaved down 3 times a year and he loves it when he gets home. He is so frisky! Both cats actually love it, and I can tell this groomer even loves cats by the way they treat the animals. I had a different groomer that was a pain because only one person did cats and I would have to leave them all day. Groomingdales is quick and awesome! I highly recommend. more

I have two large dogs, Akitas, one of which is, what I like to call, temperamental. They love Scott and they love the store. They do a great job at this place. My babies always look beautiful when I pick them up. We are talking about very large dogs. The male weights 125lbs due to youthful knee problems. Scott goes out of his way to baby this dog. He makes sure that nothing happens to stress those artificial joints. He knows I worry about it and I feel safe leaving my babies in his care. I am ashamed to admit that I tried to find a place a closer to my house to save a little money on gas. That groomer was afraid to let the dogs out of the pen she had put them in and called me to come and pick them up. I told Scott what I had done and I was welcomed back with open arms. He said that the groomer just didn't understand "his babies." I will never go anywhere else. RAE C. more

My dogs absolutely love this place and they are open on Sundays to boot which is my only day off. I have a Maltese and a shih tzu and they don't get to go as often as they should and I have been cut short in hours at my job, so need less to say I usually have to get them shaved but its still the cutest haircut because they get ribbons and scarfs. I think they really care about the cost being reasonable too. They have all kinds of discounts and coupons and never treat me like I am a bad owner because I can't go once a month, as I really should. They treat me and my pooches with respect and my dogs love to see the lady who grooms them.I don't know her name but she is so sweet to my babies and that's what really matters to me. I laugh at the people who miss the bigger picture, like the lady who gave them a bad review for shaving down her matted up wheaton terrier. Some people care more about the vanity of themselves and their pet's look than what is necessary and safe for the well being o more

I gave specific instructions on how long I wanted my Shih Tzu. I made sure they understood I did not want him shaved or short. He was at the Durango location for 5 1/2 hours and when I picked him up I didn't even recognize my own dog! He was completely shaved and looks like a poodle (not that there is anything wrong with poodles...but he's a shih tzu!) When I complained about the cut I was told that "there are worse problems in the world" and "it will grow back". While both these statements may be true, I paid for a specific service and did not receive what I paid for. Save yourself $40 and find a groomer who actually cares about what they do. I have to go buy my dog a winter coat because it's January and he is bald! \r P.S. I gave 1 star because that was the lowest possible. Zero would have been much more appropriate. more

12/30/08- Durango location: Specifically told them "Do not shave." My dog is a Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier and was only slightly matted- had been groomed at same location less than 4 weeks earlier. I was available by telephone the entire time and NO CALL. They shaved my dog! Ruined family photo, depressed the dog, it is horrible. What lazy, LAZY groomers. If they could not groom her they could have called me- I would have picked her up and gone somewhere else. They had no permission to shave my dog against my specific instructions. But they sure expected to be paid. I will post as many reviews like this as possible. I am angry and recieved nothing but excuses. more

Was impressed with the service the 1st time I thought of course why not go back. What a mistake! They were given specific instructions on not to trim anything but the feet & butt. My dog was ruined. They cut her feathers off her ears & trimmed the hair off the tops or her feet all the way to the skin. For my Cavalier, this automatically disqualifies her from any showing. When I attempted to notify them of this issue, all I got was argument & denial of what they had done. Worst customer service complaint resolution ever. more

I BRING MY BABY TO BOTH GROOMINGDALES STORES. I BOUNCE BETWEEN THE STORES DEPENDING ON MY DAY.\r SCOTT THE OWNER AT CHEYNNE AND LYNDSAY THE MANAGER AT CRAIG ARE BOTH THE BEST IN TOWN. HAVE YOU SEEN ALL THE REMODALING THEY HAVE DONE,ITS BEAUTIFUL. THEY ALSO HAVE PUPPY PLAY ROOMS SO MY BABY CAN PLAY AND SHE LOVES IT. GROOMINGDALES ROCK more

They truely love what they do, you can even sit one day and watch them. Thats what i love the most, you see everything they do, I think thats what really matters, how they treat your beloved pet, and they are the best at that.... I highly recomend them! more

The groomers at Groomingdales seem to love what they do. They always greet you with a smile and treat your pet like it was their own baby. I am always asked how I want the grooming done and ask when I need to pick my dog up instead of tellling me when I can pick him up. The price for grooming is standard for most groomers. more
