Gringo's Mexican Cafe

I never really understood the attraction of this place. The food is decent, agreed - but really just typical, I can name 20 things on the menu without looking-it is plain ole TexMex for the most part. But, go down the road a few miles and you can eat at any of the other dozen Mexican restaurants in Pearland, several of which with far far better food,and get better service, prices, and NO WAITING... I just feel like I am missing something or I've never eaten whatever it is people or lined up for??? Or,, maybe those people never bother to look for someplace else to eat.. The new place is attractive, but my goodness is it loud.. you can't even have a conversation with your table mates. I don't want to eat out bad enough to put up with all this. I pass it up every chance I get. more

This place has great beef fajitas! It's a great place for family, large groups, and friendly get togethers. It can be quite loud as it is usually crowded during lunch and dinner hours. I mean really crowded. It's a popular place in town. The service is usually very good, and the management is friendly and supportive of local groups and schools-always a plus! If you are not in the mood for a wait, get there before the "peak" hours, and you won't be disappointed. And they have free cones for an after dinner snack-vanilla and chocolate, or swirl! How can you go wrong here!! more

It's a popular place to eat. With their remodeling, they have gone from a local eatery to a family restaurant with something for everyone. They have a full-service bar with daily drink specials. They pour a strong Margarita. Sometimes this place can get busy, so prepare for a wait during dinner hours especially on the weekend. Their food in general is average, but can sometimes be greasy. Service can be good, but I've never encountered great there. Sound level during peak hours is loud. Parking can sometimes be crowded. Prepare to walk during peak hours. more

This mexican food restaurant is the hot spot at lunch time for all of those who get out of church on Sunday. This place is packed, but the wait usually is not that long, and they do give you little vibrating pager. The quesadillas are scrumptious. The usually cut it into eight slices and put guacamole in the center. I always get beef meat. Also every table is served chips and spicy salsa. At the end of your meal, you can go and make yourself an Icecream Cone. more
