The Positive:.My shirts come back nicely cleaned without bad smells. The Negative..These people are highly unreliable. They rarely pick up or deliver on time. They often send clothes back piecemeal, delivering some pieces on one day, and others on another, without ever telling you in advance that they are doing so. I just scheduled a pickup online, and have been waiting over a week for the clothes. I just spoke with my doorman, and he advised that they never even picked up the bag. The bag is sitting in the doorman's area. I'm steaming. They had confirmed pickup, never showed, and now I'm stuck without clean clothes. The last time they screwed me, they promised me a $20 credit on my next order. They never gave it to me. I'm breaking up with Green Apple Cleaners immediately. more

Happy with my new Handbag 12/6/2011

By far the best Cleaners around. Green Apple cleaned my beautiful hand bag that had red ink leaked thru to the front of the bag...Green Apple gave it a try and what I got back is a brand new hand bag. I've had such good experiences with Green Apple. They pick up and deliver to my building daily which is a huge plus. I trust them 100% to do a great job on all my cleaning. more

Beware of Using for Fur or Leather Care! 12/2/2011

I made the mistake of bringing my leather jacket to the local Green Apple in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I wanted it cleaned and conditioned. It came back dried out and cracked--I salvaged it by getting help from the local shoemaker. Thought I would give them one more try, and stored my Mother's mink coat there. Bad decision! They never responded to my questions about repairs and prices, it took 8 months, and threats of legal action to get the coat back, and it was returned in worse condition than before--lining wrinkled, etc. Do not use this company, in any location, for anything! more

THE WORST EVER 11/8/2011

Don't say I didn't warn you. Green Apple has had my wedding dress for three months. I've called eight times, been promised delivery, updates, etc. Nothing. No apologies, no explanations, NO DRESS. If you want to avoid stress, wasting time and having to go to small claims court, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. more

I love how eco-friendly they are, it makes me feel better about myself knowing my laundry practices aren't harming the environment =). My wife and I switched to Green Apple. We were unhappy with our previous cleaners and, to be honest, we weren't expecting much from GA, either, but thought we'd at least give it a shot. I am happy to say it was a very pleasant surprise - our clothes have, so far, come back much better. Our clothes even smell good too. If GA keeps this up, we'll keep using them. They're not cheap, but they do a great job. more

A friend recommended this dry-cleaner because they pick up and deliver anywhere in the city . . . plus they claim to use ""Green Technology"" to clean clothes. So far so good . . . they got some nasty stains out of my wifes dress and I'm really happy with how my suits have come back. Plus did I mention, they pick-up and deliver ANYWHERE. Pros: Polished Finishing, Odorless, Pick-up and Deliver Anywhere Cons: None . . . So far! more

Wow, green actually cleans! 5/3/2010

For me, doing toxic dry cleaning is not even an option, so I did my research and came upon Green Apple Cleaners. I don't do a ton of dry cleaning, but I had this yellow top I wear to work that got DEEP BLUE OIL PAINT on it. I thought my top was toast. When I picked up my dry cleaning, I was thrilled that most of blue was gone, so it's not even noticeable. WOW ;-) And of course, it has been just wonderful to have my items come back without that weird dry cleaning smell and feel like I am not damaging the earth or my health. I also think the ladies at the store are pretty nice and pleasant to deal with as well. Pros: green, effective, nice people at store front Cons: wish it was a little less expesnisve more

perfume scented clothes!! Expensive, Delivery hassels 1/23/2010

I went to Green Apple because of their supposed Co2 cleaning system. They always had problems arranging pick ups from my building. I started bringing clothes to the Greenwich street store but the girls are rude. This is the second time my clothes came back smelling like some dryer sheet or air freshener perfume. Not what I want from a ""greener cleaner."" I have specifically requested non-scented. PS After a long absence they had a customer survey call to find out why I stopped coming Pros: Maybe healthier Cons: Febreze-like smell in my clothes, expensive, rude help more

Beware!! They lost my clothes somehow and I have been trying to get the manager on the phone for almost 2 months! I keep talking to the customer service woman who keeps sending me to this man - Bob Ulman's voicemail and who has NEVER called me back. Pros: Nothing Cons: Expensive and zero customer service more

disorganized and annoying 9/24/2009

I have used Green Apple for about a year now, and I'm finally ready to give up. I really liked the idea of chemical-free drycleaning, but it's not worth the time and trouble that they consistently cause. They manage to pick up the cleaning at the scheduled time only about one of every three times, no matter how far ahead I schedule it or whether I use their website or call. They have failed to pick up my cleaning at least six times now, and every time it has taken several phone calls to get things straightened out. Particularly given reports in the NY Times and elsewhere that they aren't as natural as they claim to be, I'm ready to go back to the cleaners I used before--they may use traditional methods, but they're reliable.
