Don't eat in the bar 1/21/2009

Went the other night with two guests and took a table in the bar. Waiter was more interested in flirting with the girls next to us and very slow. Wife's coffee came out room temperature, shrimp tacos were tepid and two sodas were flat. Don't bother with the ""side"" of coleslaw - tiny portion and maybe that's a good thing as it was way over-seasoned. Got the $7 chocolate cake for dessert and it was obvious that it had been thawed from frozen at some point as the consistency was dry and the frosting crumbly. more

Great food and atmosphere! 10/30/2008

My husband and I tried this restaurant after purchasing a gift certificate for half off from smartshopper on the web. It's a pub style restaurant with two floors. A very cozy atmosphere with dark wood. They even have a deck for outside seating. They serve both Indian and English food with a complimentary appetizer. I can't think of the name but it was a mango chutney salsa and chips. My husband tried the fish and chips. Two pieces of cod with fries for $12.00. A little on the high side but very tasty. I tried the Shepherd's pie for $11.00. Well worth the price for ground lamb topped with mashed potatoes and veggies. It was excellent and very filling. The drinks were mixed perfect. (Ketel One vodka and Sprite and Maker's Mark on the rocks). We were too full for dessert but had a wonderful selection. The service was great also! Pros: Great atmosphere, excellent food, friendly staff. Cons: Small parking lot, food a little pricey. more
