Horrible 5/3/2011

I went to the pidgeon forge grand resort hotel and convention center. I stayed there and i ended up getting my labtop, a ps3 and some games stolen. We was at a conference there, the conference was great, just the hotel was bad. This has been like four months and they have not even lifted a finger to try and help me get my stuff back. The police station in pidgeon forge has helped me figure out, but not the hotel. I was not the only room stolen from. My girlfriend had over a hundred dollars and some cds stolen from thier room and their was also like seven other rooms stolen from that day. Im just warning people that stay there. It had to be somebody that worked with the hotel because the doors were locked and we come back and everything we stolen. more

Very pleasant stay 12/14/2010

My boyfriend and I only stayed for one night but it was wonderful. We got there later in the evening (9pm) and asked if they had any special rooms available. They gave us thier Honeymoon suite for half price! It did take awhile to walk to room but it really wasn't a problem. The room was leopard and cheetah print, cheesy but perfect! It had a jacuzzi, fire place, and the room was very large. The staff had even been so nice as to turn the heat up for us, it was the honeymoon suite after all. I didn't notice any bugs however the bed was in need of repair. Some other couple must have enjoyed the room also because even when you sat down on it, it made a ton of noise. The room also included a kitchen but since we were only there for one night we didn't use it. Over all I would recommend it. more

Not bad at all. I'd come back 12/7/2010

I booked this hotel before I read the reviews on it from this websight and had second thoughts. I thought that I would give them a chance. They let me check out the room before i checked in, I was pleasantly surprised... The room was clean and neat, and the staff was great. When I or my family needed something they where there within five minutes to help us. I'm a clean freak and would not have stayed if it was subpar. I will stay there again the next time I'm in Pigeon Forge without hesitation. more

Very peaceful stay 12/2/2010

Other than the rooms being a little small, everything was great. Rooms were very clean, pool area was clean, and employees were very friendly and helpful. Check in was smooth. The only hotel I've visited in years that still uses real room keys! The phone in our room wasn't working, and a maintenance person was there within ten minutes of our request to fix the phone. Be sure to visit the river running next to the hotel...a beautiful, peaceful place amidst the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge! more

We look forward to coming back! :) 11/23/2010

I Had a Nice Stay!!! 9/2/2010

I stayed at the Grand for two night and thought for sure after reading the reviews that I was going to regret the choice. I moved to the Grand after staying two nights in Gatlinburg. Come on people it have traveled all over the country and this property is buy far the worse that I have seen. It isn't the Crowne Plaza but it isn't the price either. It is an older property and could use some maintenance but what hotel couldn't in any busy tourist area. I paid like $80 a night and it was well worth that for location alone. It was just like 5 minutes from Dollywood and I could walk to all kinds of attractions. The lady at the front desk, a blonde lady, was very nice and helped me arrange to get a rental car. I thought the breakfast buffet was very good and being from Vegas I know my buffets. I am not sure what all the people are complaining about??? In my experience you get what you pay for and in this case I am very satisfied. Happy Travels more

pretty and clean 8/10/2010

We stayed 2 nights at the Grand Resort in Pigeon Forge. The rooms were clean, the lobby very pretty, the restaurant was nice and the location was excellent. The staff was friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to find a fridge and microwave in our room. more

fine place 8/9/2010

The Grand is a fine place. We had no problems with our stay at all. The room was fine. Beds were clean , Had a coffee pot, iron and board, microwave, fridge and cable tv. Had a nice view of the river. Believe me , We have Stayed in a whole lot worse hotels that cost more then the GRAND. This was just a pretty much standard room. The people at the front desk were nice. Some friends of ours had a suite. It was very nice. It had a big screen tv , a kitchen area , it even had two bathrooms. Nice room. All in all , the Grand is a fine place to stay and we'll probably stay there again. more

would stay at the grand again and again 8/3/2010

I stayed at the Grand and yes it is an older property. But come on........ If you stayed on the river and had spider webs who's fault was that. People need to realize that Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Seiverville are the foothills of the Smoky Mountains you are encroaching on nature. It is such a beautiful place. I bet you saw squirrels, ducks, geese and lots of other small wildlife running around.I am sure that would be the fault of the Grand Resort as well. The Hotel is very nice just older. The wonderful staff more than makes up for a few spider webs. If the wildlife scared you then I'll bet Becky's pancakes made up for it. Don't believe everything you read. I will stay at the Grand again and again. more

clean and comfortable 7/23/2010

Our family just spent 8 days in the Grand . We found our room to be as clean as any typical hotel room. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped. The location is convenient to both shopping and dining (close to Broadway At The Beach). The beach in this area is very clean and spacious!!! We plan to stay at Grand next year and would recommend it to anyone! more

Happy 7/21/2010

we stayed for 2 nights and were given the chance to check the room first, We found our room to be clean and well stocked , yes the beds were a little short but for full size beds they were not that bad ,we were able to get a good nights sleep, yes it is an older Motel and may need some updating , But we were happy with what we had . We would stay here again and by the way, being on the Parkway with a lot of noise from the traffic it was very quit in the room #5408. And yes parking was very tight, but we were always able to find a spot. more

friendly 7/14/2010

We have been to Pigeon Forge dozens of times and the rooms are all about the same. Most of them are in need of being referbed, but the people are what makes the stay enjoyable to us. The employees at the Grand Inns were very friendly, Paula Adkins(General Manager) was the most friendly person we came across while stayong down there. If you want a place to stay with good people, try Grand Inns of America. Tom and Jerry. more
