All these comments are several years old. Gourmet Pizza has not gotten better with time. Today I had to haggle with them just to get the price listed on this site. My last order was disappointing but I tried again today......now waiting for my order to arrive. If it still is a disappointment ....this is my last order. G. Carnes more

Poor Service and Sun Chip Salads... 8/8/2010

I hate to write a bad review on an independent restaurant, but I gave the restaurant a second chance after one bad experience, and I was disappointed again. I, like another couple of reviewers below, wanted to try this pizzeria with its rave reviews as one of the top pizza restaurants in the country, and both times I wished I had decided to eat anywhere else. The service was rude the first time, but I wouldn't mind that so much if the pizza was good, but it was mediocre and generic at best. more

Great little pizza shop, small and quaint, sauce is fantastic and my vegan boyfriend was thrilled with the menu options. Our new little hang out. Drive by this place all the time and finally stopped in to check out their award winning pizzas.......why did i wait so long. My wife and I are hooked. The quality is just superb and freshes of their toppings is just the beginning. We got the chicken smoked gouda and the steak gorgonzola......they just melt in your mouth. Great atmosphere with the new expansion....very cool place, very good food and very helpful and friendly staff. You must try Gourmet Pizza Company if you haven't ...there is nothing else like it. Pros: pizza toppings, flavor, dough is amazing, service with a smile, very comfortable Cons: the only location, they need more locations more

Definitely very good pizza. Love the cheese bread too. There's nothing particularly special or outstanding about the pizza, but it is overall above average - good crust, good tomato sauce. A bit inconsistent though, sometimes they put just the right amount of cheese and sometimes they completely overdo it. more

The most delicious pizza I have ever tasted.....the new margherita is amazing, the specialty pizzas are just that...very special! The dough, the sauce, the cheese....it's just darn near perfect. A must try for everyone, whether you like pizza or not, Gourmet Pizza Company will have you loving pizza - at least thiers. They even deliver this amazing creation right to your door...you can't go wrong. Pros: FOOD, FOOD , FOOD more

absolutly incredible food 6/5/2005

was blown away by this little pizza shop that stands alone. And alone they stand when it come to flavorful food. Thai ginger salad is just WOW, breadsticks are mouthwatering, then the grand finale.....the pizza is tremendous. without a doubt the best i have ever tried. I am hooked. Staff is also very pleasant and helpful. Pros: food, service, value more

Best Pizza in Tampa 5/13/2005

I am a pizza critic, and this place just blows every other pizza shop out the window. From the salads to breadsticks to the pizza it's amazing. The dough is to die for, and thier specialty pizzas are out of this world. Try the portabello gorgonzola, Chicken and spinach white pizza, the bbq chicken, we love them all. Hats off to Gourmet Pizza Company for finally bringing great pizza to South Tampa. Pros: inexpensive, great staff, delivery more

Disappointed 7/17/2004

As a vegan I was excited to see a few items on the to choose from. I opted for a cheesless pizza with tomato sauce, spinach, tomatoes, peppers and olives. The dough was good- not at all greasy, but there was absolutely no flavor in the sauce and I don't think there were any spices in it either. If a pizza is going to be cheeseless, there's got to be at least some spices going on. I also ordered a spinach salad minus the bacon /cheese. I assumed they would give me extra veggies but instead I paid 5 dollars for spinach, olives and 2- YES 2- tomato wedges. Not to mention my order took over an hour to deliver. I am not giving up though. I will try once more, this time the pesto pizza or vegan ravioli. Perhaps it was just a bad night for them over there. Cons: , long delivery time more

Best pizza in town, incredible salads, breadsticks are to die for. Great, freindly staff. Highly reccomended, worth the drive from accross town. Pros: inexpensive, great atmosphere, great menu more
