Perhaps it's the quirky concept, but this gallic diner gives off a neurotic feel. Is it a good old-fashioned American diner, as the decor would suggest, or has an Alain Ducasse wannabe squirreled himself in the kitchen? You can't be both, guys. Choose one, or be accused of being a ridiculously high-priced diner (which it is), serving tiny portions of gastropub fare (which it does), to famished Eurotrash tourists and bewildered Americans.\r
Note, when we went there last time, a French family (who had been occupying two tables, and speaking in French at full lung), tried to skip out without paying their bill. Heh, I can relate.\r
PS: They got caught.
