"Unbelievable" 11/5/2006

Yeah, George G's story is so "unbelievable" that I don't believe it. I think he made it up. Now, I also think GETE is overrated and not worth the crazy brunch lines, but I seriously doubt they delivered a hamburger with a bite taken out of it. That just sounds ridiculous. Anyway, we rarely go to GETE unless it's really early or late because of the lines. When the lines are nuts for brunch, we go across the street to Fred's, or over to Cafe Lalo - which doesn't have only dessert but also brunch, with poached eggs combos and pastries and things. more

Good enough but overrated 8/17/2005

Not worth the lines for brunch. Go to any of the nearby brunch spots for equally good meai with less wait. Dinners are even less special. more

Upscale Brunch, Fantastic Food 8/8/2005

I can vouch that this restaurant, Good Enough To Eat, is one of the busiest brunch restaurants on the Upper West Side. The price ranges from the minimal to the very expensive, but the quality of the food makes every dollar worthwhile. The service is fantastic - the wait staff is very friendly and anxious to make sure you are enjoying your time. The WORST part of this restaurant is the line on an average weekend morning. It starts at 20 minutes before the restaurant opens, and continues throughout the brunch time (until about 3 pm). You can be in this line for up to 30 minutes at peak time. If you can hold out, do it. You won't regret it. more
