After eating at the Cedar Bluff Gondolier several times, I was naturally excited to hear about another one opening up right in front of Farragut High School. I made preparations and went there within its first few weeks of opening. What I experienced, however, was substantially different from what I expected.
Don't get me wrong; the food was great. It's just that, unlike its predecessor, this Gondolier lacks all spirit. Gone are the bustling crowds and attentive waiters or waitresses. Here you'll find an almost isolated facility whose servers seem to be staring at you more than actually serving you. While some might find this exciting, I deplore this type of service.
The food is excellent. They have all sorts of food to choose from, and all of it is flavorful. Choices include subs, pizza, lasagna, manicotti, strombolis, and more.
Ultimately, you'll enjoy Gondolier for it food, not for its service. If eating alone, I would highly recommend ordering take out. Not only would you be able to circumvent giving a tip, but you'll also be able to enjoy a much better service: your own.
