I was surprised at my experence so here I am leaving a review. I have never in my life done business with a more sarcastic and rude jerk. Ever. My experence was I was a buyer with cash. This older guy has a toxic,rude attitude. Simple direct questions given to him were either not awnsered or responded with sarcasim and heavy arrogance. All with a rush and push to hurry and get out of his shop. Buddy, you lost probably your one millionth customer! Is this place staying open because its a fence? How the hell does this guy keep the lights on? Maybe the obvious family related positive reviews posted by him keep things limping along? I shall never return, Adios. more

I was shocked at how rudely we were treated at this business. We had two packages of gold one being 10K the other 14K that we were offering up for sale. He refused to weigh the different gold purities seperately which would be the honest way of doing business. When I questioned him as to why he would weigh them together I was verbally yelled at to get this show on the road and have all the gold weighed together and stop wasting his time asking stupid questions. I then retracted my pile of 10K gold and told him we would just be interested in selling only the 14K. He then got very angry and again yelled at us ordering us out of his business because he didnt have time for our BS! \r I have never experienced such rude customer service in my entire life. We were so dumbfounded by his behavior that we didnt even know how to respond other than shake our heads and leave his establishment in horror. This guy needs some professional help. more

Wow, I was surprised at some of these reviews. I first bought Gold or Silver thru Goldmasters back in the late 90's, over the internet. I've bought or sold back coins thru them ever since. I've always been very satisfied with their service and response. The prices I get thru them are lower on the purchase and higher on the sale than any of the many places you see on TV, I've checked. gatoron - filed a complaint with the BBB. It was determined as satisfied by the BBB yet he is still maliciously attacking our reputation. Our track record of successfully completing many thousands of transactions totaling many millions of dollars, satisfying many thousands of customers as well as our more than 40 years of buying and selling gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rare coins & diamonds online as well as in our retail store should speak volumes to any reasonable persons as to our honesty and integrity. Goldmaster’s respects the right of free speech and expression we do not respect CitySearch allowing malicious complaints to migrate thru the internet unchecked. This shipment to us was damaged because the very basic instruction to ""tape the tube tops to protect the contents of the package"" was not followed. The damaged contents caused a disruption in his processing of one day, even by the most stringent standards this is exceptional service. He has refused to take any responsibility for his negligence making outragious, unreasonable demands. This is a classic example of cyber bulling of a business.\r more

Do not deal with this company or the web site. I sold some items on to them on line. They provide no customer support. When they posted information on the site, they lied about when they received my package. I did receive a check from them for the items, but it was for less than the agreed upon price. After multiple attempts to find an explanation for the shortfall and to recover the money, they claimed that “all” the coins opened in shipping marring the condition and value. When I pointed out that I did not agree to the lower price, they said I did when I cashed the check. This man and the company are extremely hard to deal with. They will quote you a price, and give you less. Not to be trusted. more

I am a fellow business owner on 6th ave. The man that owns Gold Masters is one of the Rudest people I have ever met! I have never been treated with such complete disrespect! I was absolutely mortified! more

Central location - parking directly in front - Fort Knox type of security - can and will handle $1.00 or $1 million transactions - huge inventory - Very fair when buying or selling on there web site or in there showroom - Live online prices - a little higher buy price or lower sell price when you are doing an in store on demand transaction because of the additional attention required. Has to be the single worst customer experience service! The man working was rude, short, absolutely unwilling and unhelpful and NO WAY accomodating... all at the same time with the holier than thou attitude because we are mere mortals to the precious metal world??? Don't ask a ""stupid"" question... or you certainly will really feel like an idiot before you leave! I choose not to do business with someone like this. more
