Best

I try to go to Goldie's atleast once a month. Their Golden wings are to die for... great service and friendly environment..

Worst

I can honestly claim that I am an expert on Goldies, having visited at least 40 times, enjoyed or endured dozens of servers and had over 60% of the menu. A group of 25+ of us play...

I thought I was in Texas... 8/22/2010

My wife and I were shopping off of Shea and the 101 today. It was just about lunch time on a sunny Sunday. I suggested cold beers and sandwiches at Teakwood, maybe throw a peanut or two across the bar. My wife said, ""What about Goldies, Teakwood is too dark."" We hadn't been in that area in a long time so I said, ""Great."" I remember those crispy, delicious wings. more

Fine for a game 1/18/2009

Goldies is a fine place to watch a game. Neighborhood crowd, good food, but expect to pay for the extras like Ranch Dressing or BBQ- they are never free. Good TVs and plenty of room. Pros: typically neighborhood, fun crowd Cons: service could use help more

Mama says..Goldies is like...a bawx of choc-O-lawts.. 8/24/2007

I can honestly claim that I am an expert on Goldies, having visited at least 40 times, enjoyed or endured dozens of servers and had over 60% of the menu. A group of 25+ of us play volleyball weekly across the street and we have utilized Goldies since 2000. Pros: Lots of Big T.V.s. Cons: Not sure they actually understand food is supposed to be hot and free of foreign objects more

An Appalling Experience 4/10/2007

I would never recommend this restaraunt. I went here with some friends on a Saturday afternoon to order some beers and snacks after a volleyball tournament. Over the course of the lunch, my table had first one waiter, then a different one after the first vanished midway through our visit. I ordered a plate of fries to share with the table and had to reorder after it never came. I did get my beer the first time, though. I ordered it in a chilled glass and once I had nearly finished my beer, I discovered two large shards (and several tiny shards) of glass in the bottom of my glass. The waiter seemed to be unable to figure out what to do about it, and I asked to see the manager, who came out and blew off the whole issue. He offered me another beer (no way) as a consolation and gave us the back story on how this could have happened: seems they freeze their glasses while they're stacked and sometimes the bottoms break when the waiters try to pull them apart. Might I suggest that Goldie's rethink their method? The manager never apologized and had to be rebuked by all six of us just to take the glassy beer off the bill ($2.50). Furthermore, when the bill came, I was billed for the beer anyway, my fries, and a plate of nachos someone else had ordered. When I sent the bill back to be corrected, my fries were put on my friend's bill and the dangerous beer and nachos were finally removed. Astounding. Pros: The fries were fine, but it's hard to ruin fries Cons: Terrible Service, Indifferent Manager, Mistakes in Billing, No recognizeable Safety Standard more

Rude 4/3/2007

This is for Zips on 100th st, which is owned by Goldies. I have been in this restaurant several times since it opened and enjoyed the casual atmosphere. Pros: Good location, reasonable food Cons: Rude management, Poor customer service more

TOO MUCH SMOKE 11/12/2006

SORRY - WALKED IN SUN MORNING @ 11 FOR THE FIRST GAME - TOO MUCH SMOKE AND MY BAD - HAD A STARBUCKS COFFEE CUP IN MY HAND - WAS ASKED TO LEAVE BY A YOUNG GENTLEMAN WHO SEEMED HUNG OVER OR REALLY UPSET TO BE WORKING ON A SUNDAY . Cons: cloud of smoke more

Inconsistently Good 6/27/2006

We go to Goldies a couple of times a month for late night food and drink after work. Our experiences have been mixed. The service is good if you sit at the bar, but anywhere else, and it is a gamble. One of the servers is good (name?), but the others are mediocre at best. Although children are allowed, it is always VERY smokey everywhere. The food is pretty good, although it can also be inconsistent. I love the Turkey Chili, although it seems to need reheating most of the time. Good salads. Pros: Good late-night menu. Value. Cons: Inconsistent. Smokey. No specials. more

Used to be good... 1/13/2006

This place was fantastic and still is... sometimes... the service is good depending on who you get... the food is now inconsistent, sometimes phenominal, sometimes ehhhhhh... love the atmosphere though. I can see any game I want and the beer is cold... although I don't know if I'm willing to take the chance on getting another subpar meal which I'm not used to... Pros: Good Value, Lots of TV's Cons: Service is on and off, Food inconsistent more

Great Food! 6/8/2005

Goldie's is a fantastic place to go watch a game or even just have a great meal. The food is outstanding and I would highly reccomend it! more

Try the Wings 3/11/2004

Having moved from Buffalo, NY (home of the wings) and now living 5 miles from New York City, I never thought that I would find good wings when I purchased my winter home in Arizona. Boy was I wrong!! Goldies has excellent wings. Hot wings finally means hot wings. As with wings in Buffalo, NY if you order the hot wings you better be ready for the long lasting scrorching taste. I love my wings almost unbearable, so these wings were a very nice surprise. The large screen TV's and enjoyable atmosphere were also a nice surprise. When in Arizona- Goldies will continue to be one of my favorites. PS- The other food is good as well- I'm just a huge fan of the wings. Pros: Hot Wings, Large Screen TV's, Friendly Atmostphere more

Roll Up Sandwiches 9/15/2003

I can't remember the name of their sandwiches for the life of me, but they are pizza dough rolled around whatever. They have a chicken/jalapeno on that is to die for. I have had them all and have never been disappointed. They also have the infamous Patookie. Huge gooey cookie on a fajita skillet w/ a glop of icecream. I live out of town and miss this place. Try the sandwiches, they are known for them (sorry I can't think of their proper name)! Pros: FAB food!!, great service, good looking staff Cons: sports bar - crowded , on game nights more
