This place was gross. I walked into the "lounge" and the first thing i saw was dust, a gross floor the office area was cluttered and no one was there. The largest arena was an oka...

Potential--if the owners cared. 12/17/2012

If I was rating it based on the training quality it'd be 5 stars. However, I'm not. This place used to be spectacular and it has really been let go. It's understandable to have barns with a little chewed wood, I get that, but dust everywhere? Cobwebs everywhere? Cheap shavings? Dried out tack? It looks like the person who owns this place does not care about it anymore. I've had two lessons here so far and I've been here multiple times. Here's the thing I don't like: it's very, very easy to just walk in and do whatever you want. The front gate is left wide open so a horse could easily get out and be hit by a car. In broad daylight, I'm willing to bet I could probably show up and tack up a horse and ride and nobody would ever know, and that scares me. If I was to board my horse there it wouldn't really be protected. The wash racks have seen better days on top of that as has the arena, and the outdoor arena foods pretty badly in the winter. Bottom line this place just doesn't look cared for and has an air of neglect to it. While the training quality is superb I just don't trust them to take care of any of my things if I were to leave tack there. Get your crap together Gold Creek, you used to be so much more than this. more

10 stars! 5/12/2011

rating 10 stars: If you could imagine a heaven with horses on top of a hill, this is the place! I have wanted a horse since I was old enough to remember anything. I have only had three lessons, but it has been the experience and dream of a lifetime. The people are wonderful, the horses are MORE wonderful (ha). I would recommend this as the ONLY place in western wa to learn how to ride a horse. more

Great facilities and good instructors! 5/11/2011

great place for casual or serious riding: Gold creek has great facilities and good instructors. I really enjoy riding there. more

I love it there! 5/10/2011

I loved my instruchor and all the horses were really nice. I love it there! more

I had a good time 5/6/2011 a first timer at Gold Creek and first time reviewer I have to say I'm a little shocked at this. I had a nice experience with the barn. Instructor seemed competent, I felt safe on the horse, and I had fun...I read through all of the reviews and see that "Linda" has commented on here very negatively a couple times, but the comments are almost a year apart. I find it hard to believe that someone who hated the barn so much in March of 2010 is still there in January of 2011 - the fact that you're commenting now makes me think you have some weird horse vendetta against this barn...Well I always heard horse people are crazy:) Thanks for proving that I guess (I'm learning every day)... Oh well, bottom line: I had a good time and I'll be heading back for at least one more lesson. more

Beautiful facility with amazing arenas 5/4/2011

I have been riding at Gold Creek for 4 years now and ever since i have been there i have felt at home. They treat every one like family. Gold Creek is a beautiful facility. It has amazing arenas. I dont know many other places that have 3 arenas that size!! The horses are amazing, yes some of them are a bit cranky but if you are really deticated to riding then u will work past that. I have created bonds with almost all of the horses there and once they know you are there for them they open up and follow you around like a puppy dog. I recomend GC for all riders, beginer or advanced. GC offers soo much and does every thing it can to make it the best riding experience ever. and for all of you people saying the horses dont get TLC thats a big piece of BS!!! those horses are sooo loved!!! i know so many people who go up just to care for them and love on them. I have gone so far thanks to gold creek. the trainers there put out soo much of their time for their riders. at every barn people are going to fall off. if you have a horse that doesnt act out then your lucky but riding a horse who may act out is the best lesson ever. it teaches you how to be a strong rider. horses are wild animals, people dont understand that you cant expect it to be perfect because they are wild and will do what they please. But over all gold creek horses put their hearts for you. they are loving caring and beautiful. if you are looking for a place to ride i recomend Gold Creek you will be very pleased with what you find. more

I would highly recommend it! 5/2/2011

Gold Creek has the potential to be a world class stable. It has two indoor and two outdoor rings, a full hunter jump course and jumper jump course (brighter poles), three barns, three wash racks, tons of lockers or large tack rooms should you choose, 24 school horses, all of which are available for lease at any time, five wonderful instructor; educated in all disciplines, an amazing barn crew that go above and beyond their call of duty to make sure your horse is taken care of, and not to mention the owners, Jim and Mary, who are two of the most down to earth, caring, and helpful individuals. Whether you want to learn to ride, lease a horse, board your horse, or come to one of Gold Creeks many schooling shows I would highly recommend it! more

he main guy in charge of the horses care is wonderful and the indoor arena is wonderful to ride in. more

Their boarding services are also wonderful 2/1/2011

Their boarding services are also wonderful. The members of the staff responsible for care for the horses are EXTREMELY nice and great with all the horses. There are several arena's available for use as well as an adjoining trail system. The owners are very nice and responsive. I am an adult rider, but the children I see who ride here are all very happy, friendly, and love this barn and the horses as much as I do. In the time I have been here I haven't had any problems. And I can't say enough good things about Gold Creek Equestrian. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone beginner, advanced, intermediate. Check it out for yourself and you will find this to be your home away from home as I have! more
