I grew up in South Florida and have burgers from pretty much everywhere that serves "the best burgers in town". Some were great...some, not so much. Gilbert's, my dear friends, is in a league unto itself. My first visit, I had the brie burger - a truly rich and delicious sandwich and one of their original creations. This time the darling owner recommended the Portobello Mushroom with grilled vegetables and balsamic mayo. Oh, let me tell you...it was divine! Each individual layer of veg was grilled on it's own, giving it a smokey flavor that permeated every bite and then topped with crisp and salty fried onions. Sigh..... Okay, I'm better now.\r
The atmosphere in this place is definitely casual and relaxed. This is a family business and they do nothing less than make you feel like you're part of that family. I will definitely be going back, and really can't wait to discover what else is amazing on their menu!
