save your money. gia is a newer byo in wildwood. we were a little surprised when we got to the restaurant because there wasn't a wait but figured we would give it a try anyway. well i can see why there wasn't a wait. once you get burned, you will never want to go back. we were seated and waited on by a waiter that was nice one minute and rude the next. we looked through the menu and heard the specials. nothing on the menu was more than $30 so i figured i would be safe ordering one of the specials. i ordered the stuffed veal chop. after waiting an inordinately long time, we finally got a meal with a complimentary side of overcooked penne and red sauce. i cut into my veal chop and it looked a little rare. when i took the second bite, i saw that it was not a little rare but totally uncooked. it was as if they cut it from the cow and then plated it. i never ever send food back but had to send this back. it was inedible. when i sent it back, the waittress responded with ""well how did you ask for it to be cooked?"" not really the issue but i was never asked anyway. we had to wait a while while the chop was actually cooked. then i got nothing but my chop back and had to ask for the vegetables that came with it. the chop was better but at this point, i was rather disenfranchised. so then the kicker, i get my meal and the RAW veal chop was $49!!!! $20 more than anything else on the menu. we were not comped for the terrible $49 chop, not even a dessert was offered. i was with my parents so i didn't want to cause a scene. i figured i would pay the bill and send an email. well i sent an email to the restaruant once i got home and i received absolutely no response which goes to show how much they value their customers. gia is a standard shore rip off restaurant. they will take as much money as they can while you are there and uphold no standards. i now understand why they were empty. you only have to spend $49 on a meal once to learn not to go back!
