Editorial review from Citysearch 10/29/2013

I'm confused about the comment saying they will not subscribe pain killers. When my puppy was neutered, they specifically said that she seemed okay but if I thought she seemed in pain, to call in for pain killers. Either way, Dr. Horne is very friendly and helpful and seems to have my dogs' best interest in mind. I moved, but still drive 30 minutes to keep coming here due to the friendly staff and very clean environment. Much better than the incredibly foul smelling OSU or other vet hospitals I've been to. more

Great Vet! 8/26/2011

I have been very happy with German Village Veterinary Hospital. I have 2 dogs and they get great care at the vet. They are flexible too. They are always willing to get me in, especially if something is going on with my pets that needs to be addressed right away. As far as their prices, I don't really have a problem with them. They are comparable to other vets I have been to. I know that pets are expensive and I am willing to pay for them because they are worth it. I'm not willing to sacrifice quality for cheap service. more

Great service 4/23/2009

The prices are comparable to other hospitals in the area. The service is top notch. The staff made me and my guy feel right at home. I am happy to say that this will be my vet for years to come. as for the ""crazy expensive"" comment. Neuter, declaw, flea, and other vaccines... that is a lot of stuff... when was the last time you got all of this stuff done on a cat. Pros: Dr. Burdick and Staff are both great Cons: a little hard to get into the parking lot more

Crazy Expensive! 3/4/2009

I couldn't believe my bill. I've had cats my whole life and this place is 3 times more expensive than any place I've gone.\r \r My cat got a kitten booster, neuter, front declaw, microchipped, and flea meds. Yes, it is a lot of services but nothing out of the ordinary. This was a follow-up appt. He is an established patient.\r \r $616.02 - that is crazy!\r \r I would say shame on me if the bill was $300. I say shame on them for a bill over $600. That is totally insane.\r more

German Village Animal Hospital 6/4/2007

German Village Animal Hospital is not very animal friendly at all. New to the area, we looked up vets nearby and found this one. My cat had her shots and was fine, but when it came time to get her spayed- the nightmare for my kitty started. I expected some discomfort for her after the surgery, but not the agonizing pain that was evident after. I could not take the cries and moaning anymore! So I called asking them to prescribe a mild painkiller for my cat that was in MAJOR distress and they said that they were not an office that prescribed pain medicine for an animal- that is ABSURD! Who would not prescribe painkillers for a cat in pain! Where the incision was, she now has an area that almost feels like a large hole under her skin. Ever since then, she can not travel in the car because she gets sick instantly, defecates on herself, and starts to cry and foam at the mouth. This was over 2 years ago, but I would think seriously if you love your animal! more
