Geppetto's

I've taken my daughter here on a couple of occasions and it's more like a museum than a toy store. The toys are old fashioned and I'm always afraid she's going to break something. The prices are rather high. I would shop here for a special present but not for an everyday type of trip to the toy store. The few times I've been in the store, the employees don't say much except for hello and good bye. more

Geppetto's Toy Store is a fun fun store to take the whole family into. They have so many books, toys, and nick nacks everywhere-your sure to get dizzy looking around :) I have bought many gifts here and they wrap EVERYTHING for free with fun paper to match your theme. Customer service is great! Location could not be better in the new Carlsbad Forum! Watch out because when its time to leave-you may be setting yourself up for a tantrum-your kids don't ever want to go home! more

I really like this toy store as it has such a unique selection compared to other toy stores. They have wooden toys, dolls, train sets, jack-in-the-box, etc. The prices are definitely higher than you would find in other stores. However, I had a bad experience there right before last Christmas. I had special ordered a Corolle doll through them for a Christmas gift for my daughter (it was an Asian one and couldn't find it anywhere). They assured me it would be ordered and they would receive it in time for me to come get it before Christmas. Well, they didn't call and didn't call. I finally called to ask what was going on since Christmas was coming up. They said they were unable to order it and have it arrive in time as it was backordered. I was very angry they didn't call to tell me they hadn;t even ordered it for me! I ended up finding the Corolle site online that sold them and it was at the house in less than 1 week. I'm still not sure why they said they couldn't get it in time. more
