We had such good experience 8 years ago at Georgios when my daughter was getting married that I took my daughter in law to be in today to shop for a wedding gown. My daughter was with us also. I have to say that 8 years later, we had a totally opposite experience. First of all when I called for the appointment I told them we had to come later in the afternoon because we had another appointment at another salon. They were very unprofessional on the phone, wanting to know where we were going and then warning us not to fall into their ""high pressure"" sales. Well, let me tell you, from the moment we walked into the other place, they gave the bride the utmost, undivided attention, and we never felt pressured in any way. Having said that, from the moment we walked in the door at Georgios, we felt like no one could give us the time of day. The ""consultant"" never introduced herself, was constantly, rudely answering the phone in the middle of our conversations, and not listening to a word that the bride told her about price point or style. Being in the industry myself, I saw red flags from the beginning. We were there 30 min unattended wondering if someone was helping us or not. When the ""consultant"" did finally pull 2 dresses, they weren't even close to her size (which she never asked her size), and she never assured that she had the right under garments. My daughter in law to be was humiliated and embarrassed so we all just walked out. I felt so badly for her. Had she not had such a positive experience at David's Bridal before we came here, she probably would have never set foot inside the door of another bridal salon. We were probably 2-3 miles away before they realized we had left the store and the consultant called me saying, ""gIrl, I'm so sorry we were just so short handed today."" #1. I don't care how busy you are, if a bride has an appt and has drove from out of town, you make time! It's her special day! #2. Don't talk to me as if I'm your middle school friend ""girl"" really???. #3. Answering the phone when you are in a meeting is one of the rudest things you can do. It was obvious that she didn't listen to the brides needs. #4. Just because we weren't searching for a $2,000 gown, didn't mean we couldn't afford it. They have just chosen to have a smaller, simple wedding. You made a gross error in more ways than one. I happen to be a Wedding Consultant and in the past I have sent brides to Geogios. I'm very embarrassed that I staked my reputation on the possible inadequate treatment of my brides by unprofessional employees. Sorry, but I can longer recommend your salon to friends, family, or clients until you rectify some of these problems. Every bride that walks through your door should be treated like a queen not a pauper!
