I visited Italy this year with the family and we tried Gelato everywhere and it did not compare to the Gelato Cafe. What a difference. I go to the one on Desert Inn because it is closer to my home and office. My husband is diabetic and the owner has developed a ""sugar free"" version and I must say it is great, as well. There is a new location in the District II for any of you Gelato lovers in the Southeast. Try it and I know you won't be disappointed.
Pros: The taste, the service and the ambience
Cons: The cost compared to ice cream, but it is worth it.
