Excellent! I would highly recommend this place for take out or for eating in!

Worst

Ordered from the pick 2 menu...I wanted 2 of the same meat...they said no...manager said no..very strange?!?! Why be required to get 2 different meats when you only wanted one???...

Loved it! 8/23/2010

The service was great, the food was great, the environment was great! I eat out at plenty of Japanese restaurants and this by far beats them all. The staff was so helpful and everything recommended turned out to be perfect. The Geisha roll was creative and I've never seen anything like it. I myself, am a big sushi eater. Loved Loved Loved the place. Everyone should give it a try. I did, and it turned out to be my favorite place in the end. more

Please do NOT waste your money here!!! 9/24/2009

We came after lunch rush was over and still was not served until 40 minutes later! (we were one of 3 tables left and only ordered 2 chirashi bowls, no app or anything else) I don't know what the chef was doing. I think I got full on water alone before the food finally made it to our table. Our waiter was unfriendly and not very helpful, more than half the time, he was over at the bar watching tv WITH the rest of the staff and the manager! He did not come around once to ask after us or ensure us that food was coming or apologize for the wait. I had to go get extra ginger myself since I couldn't catch his attention. Only reason I went was because I had a $25 restaurantdotcom giftcard which they do accept for lunch and dinner with minimum $20 purchase and 18% gratuity. Honestly, take your giftcard and eat anywhere else but here! Pros: Food was paltry at best Cons: Terrible slow service, unfriendly staff more

If Heaven Had a Sushi bar it would be called 3/2/2009

I consider my self a sushi fanatic and have dinned all over Dallas at every Asian restaurant at least once. I have found my new favorite Asian restaurants in Dallas. The other night my wife and kids were all set to go out, and upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the manager at the door and his friendly hostess. After they showed us to our table, Cindy who was our server greeted us immediately. I have to admit I'm picky when it comes to service but she gave my family one of the best experiences we have had in a long time. The kobe hot rock was sooooo much fun and the sushi was the best I have had plus the price is so reasonable. One of the managers Chad came by to make sure we were all having a great time. It's really nice to see a place thats food matches it's service........ "Geisha" is my families new home away from home. Next time were bring in our friends to sit at the Hibachi grill it look like everyone was having a lot of fun. Pros: Price is at the advantage for there guest Cons: wish I lived closer more

One ""bad egg"" does ""ruin"" the whole bunch!!! 2/16/2009

We visited the GHG for the 1st time on Saturday night and have mixed emotions about the experience. It is unfortunate but ?One Bad Egg, does ruin the whole bunch?. The Bad Egg was the manager in this case. Because it was Valentines they were featuring a special menu in the dining room which was not mentioned at the time of the reservation. We had gone there to eat Sushi and there was only one choice on the Limited Menu ?The Chefs Choice. We had gone there for the pan seared, Ahi and were not interested in the ?Chef? selecting our Sushi Fate. The Sushi Bar was open and several others were seated there ordering at will. We kindly ask our waiter if we could order from the Sushi Bar, or be reseated there. At this time the restaurant was only about 35% to capacity and this should have been a simple request. The waiter left and returned with the Manager . He started his conversation almost as if we had done something wrong, spouting out questions and barking comments like: ?Did you have a reservations?; Who took it? ..name? ..."" When he completed his barking we kindly explained our situation again, about how we did not know who took the reservation and that we were not told about the special menu and we just wanted some Sushi. He then left our table as if to confirm our respnses were true only to return with the same demeanor stating ?There is a Sushi entree? on the Special Menu and that it was the ?Chef Choice?, almost as if he was going to ?make us? order from it. This did not sit well especially since the restaurant was nearly empty and this should have been simple. After further negotiations, he snapped at the waiter ?Allow them to order from the Sushi bar, however nothing from the main menu.? When our food arrived it held great presentation and was delicious. It is unfortunate the ?taste? the manager left with us leaves us NEVER wanting to return. It is unfortunate he did not capitalize on the opportunity to create some ?Raving Fans.? more

Tempura Fried Ecstasy 12/30/2008

What a hidden little gem. They serve something called the white dragon roll...a masterpiece tempura fried creation. This thing is absolutely delicious. I'm generally a sashimi fan, but I decided to try one of these when here and wow...incredible. As for the rest of the menu that we tried, I'd compare it to a bluefish quality, however, definitely lacking the bluefish atmosphere. I'm recommending solely based upon that tempura fried bite of ecstasy, the White Dragon Roll. Pros: Awesome White Dragon Roll, Immediate service because its not very busy. Cons: Its lacking atmosphere. more

Excellent hibachi and sushi 10/5/2008

My wife and I went to Geisha?s last night for the 1st time. We walked in rather late, but were seated immediately. We started off with a sushi roll; ?Fujisan? ? crab and shrimp. It was wonderful. Great presentation and the taste was outstanding. The serving size was large at 8 pieces. My wife ordered the filet and shrimp and I had filet and salmon. Our chef went by the name of Kenny. He was exceptional. Both of our meals were cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. The wine list was nothing like you expect at a steakhouse, but definitely more than adequate. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. My wife and I have eaten and hibachi grills all over the US. We both felt this was the best one that we have ever eaten at. We cannot wait to go back. Give it a try and enjoy. Pros: Excellent service, great food, free parking. more

Ungrateful customers. 7/22/2008

the customer below me was one of those rude, snobby customers who acted like he owned the restaurant-yelling at the hostess, cussing inside the restaurant to the managers, and just made a big deal for not being able to sit where he wanted to sit at that time, due to the policy the restaurant has. If you don't like the place, then just leave, because I'm sure they didn't want to serve someone who doesn't appreciate anything. The food is wonderful, the environment is wonderful, and so is the waitstaff. If you don't believe it, go try it out! Pros: everything!! Cons: rude customers that ruin the evening. more

The Customer is Always WRONG. 7/10/2008

At Geisha the customer is always wrong and the manager is always rude. Here's our experence: Wife and I are the only customers there late one weekday evening. We are going to have the hibachi. We want to sit in the center of the table so we can get a good view of the chef. The hostess tells us we must sit at the far end. We ask for the manager, who tells us we have to sit at the end in case more customers come in a group. Now, it's late, no one else there, no customers are coming in, so we tell the manager that if more do come in a group then we'll move to the end of the table, but that's not good enough for this manager. He's the Manager, the Boss, and he expects us to follow his seating policy...period. Now, he could have said please sit at the far end for now and if no one else shows up then move to the center of the table, but he didn't. If he had half a brain he could have even offered us a free drink while we waited at the end of the table, but he didn't. He has his ""policy."" Well, we have our own policy, and that was simply to leave and spend our money elsewhere. This place won't last long if they don't learn that THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!\r \r By the way, the place seemed dirty too...the floor was very sticky and the lighting was extremely dark - never a good sign. Pros: Can't think of any pro's Cons: Rude manager and the place is dark and dirty. more
