About 1 yar ago, my mother was having a Vista software problem with her new Dell PC. For some reason her computer was not able to access the internet or any of her programs.
Since she did not buy the protection plan from Best Buy whe she purchased the PD less than 3 months earlier, and since we were not able to locate the problem and solve it ourselves, we called Geek Squad.
A Geek Squad technicican arrived at my mother's home the same day we called (arriving in their iconic Geek Squad Volkswagen mobile) and spent more than 6 hours working with my mother's PC and calling Microsoft to try to determine what the problem was. After working long and hard, he was able to repair the problem.
We were anxious about finding out how much they were going to charge for their service and were completely astonished when their charge was less thaN $100.00 (somewhere between $90.00 and $100.00). Being that they are a national company with offices everywhere, we were expecting the charge to be an hourly fee, but come to find out their fee is a flat rate for the service they provideed to us that day.
This price was amazing and well worth it. The alternative was to buy another new PC, which would have cost more than $600.00.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE HAVING ELECTRONICS OR COMPUTER PROBLEMS TO CHECK OUT GEEK SQUAD. THEIR PRICES CAN'T BE BEAT AND THEY EMPLOY COMPLETELY KNOWLEDGABLE TECHNICIANS THAT SPECIALIZE IN THE PROBLEM AREA THAT YOU HAVE.
I WILL ALWAYS CALL GEEK SQUAD IN THE FUTURE AND WOULD NEVER USE A LOCAL REPAIRMAN!!!
