Best

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at goo.gl/FPxYD They have some of the best hotel deals on the web!

Worst

Please remember they are going to charge you 10 bucks to park no matter if you are a guest or a visitor. Decidedly NOT a free attraction. Parking is plentiful, not at a premium ...

breathtaking 8/21/2002

It is unlike any facility I have ever seen in my life. The employees know it is a large place, so they make a great effort to make sure the customers find where they are going. It's a wonderful place to go. more

GREAT place!! 8/21/2002

The gardens are georgous and the staff is very friendly. more

great hotel 8/21/2002

This is a great hotel for business as well as pleasure more

Gaylord is awesome! 8/21/2002

Opryland Hotel is by far the most unique hotel I have ever been in. The gardens are beautiful and they have really good restaurants! Pros: Huge, Beautiful, They have everything Cons: Huge more

YA GOTTA GO 8/21/2002

The variety, the service, the people... It's an overall astonishing place to go. I'd recommend it to anyone. more

Absoutley Beautiful Gardens and Waterfalls throughout the whole resort. Well Worth the Money. Pros: Beautiful, Convienent, Exercise Cons: A Maze more

vacation dream house 8/19/2002

a future world on another planet.enclosed in a bubble with rooms, walkways, trees, flowers with large rooms off to the side courtiest and kind employees who help with out even asking.the many shop that offer all kinds of extra little things to the guest, like a minni-mall inside the dome's.i enjoyed my stay in nashville and will always return to the operyland resort. Pros: great door service, registration was easy, the freshnest of the Cons: don't changr the empl, not crowded, everything you needed more

Overpriced, Overrated, Oversized 8/11/2002

The service is horrible, the staff is unfriendly, the food is horrible both in price and quality, the quality received for price paid is atrocious, navigation is a nightmare and they charge for parking! Pros: None, None, None Cons: Everything, Quality Received, Food uality & Prices more

2 days of claustrophobia! 8/2/2002

I was not able to get a valet to help me take my luggage and 3 small children to my room which I swear was a half mile walk! When I helped myself to a cart half way there a valet ran up & told me I was not allowed to use it. The room was small and nothing special. We went to the Country Christmas dinner but had a hard time finding it. None of the staff I asked could direct me. We wandered around for 30 min and were late for the dinner. Never went outside for 2 days; I was so glad to get out! Parking & room rates are outrageous. Pros: pretty, variety, interesting Cons: too big, no service, expensive more

Save the Best for Last 8/1/2002

I had heard about this hotel complex for years. But when I arrived, I thought I was in Disneyland not Nashville! It was a welcome surprise since some greenery was in order after all that other jazz. (You know what I mean!) Don't get me wrong, I am counting the days until I can come back to Music City. But I'll definately leave more room to enjoy some time here. So spend a day doing the touristy thing...you won't be disappointed. more

I always tell all visitors to go see the Hotel--it's absolutely beautiful--with three atriums, shops, resturants, boat ride, & a lazer show. You don't have to spend a penny to just walk through and enjoy the sights. On a rainy day, or if the heat is too much, enjoy this sight. Pros: beautiful gardens, special events Cons: parking cost more

Liked it. loved it wantmoreofit 7/26/2002

A catchy little place that should rebuild the park despite the rumors of politically incorrect species. Pros: too numerous2mention, fabulous of course, excellent superbly Cons: r u joking? more

Best Free Attraction Nominee?? 7/25/2002

Not exactly free here, folks. This place is great. I would recommend everyone coming to Nashville see the conservatories. But at $7.00 to park, this ain't free. Cheap, maybe, but not free. And while the rooms are clean, they are very expensive for what you get. You're paying for the atmosphere. Pros: Great Gardens Cons: Expensive, Too Big! more

Tropical Paradise in TN 7/19/2002

I love Opryland, especially in winter when everything cold and dreary outside. Stayed one weekend. The room was nice and had a balcony looking over Delta area. Especially love the restaurant that is open near check in. They have a seafood buffet certain nights. I also took my brother there when he visited. Now when he comes to visit, he always wants to go there. He tried to book a group, but had no help w/ group bookings. Called several times but no help. No wonder bookings are slow when trying to book 10 rooms for a group and special event for my brothers car club!?! Otherwise impeccable service everywhere else. Instead parking for $6, I valet for $12 dont have to search for car. Impresses our guest from out of town when we valet. And I always hear they never expected a hotel to be so beautiful in Tennessee. Pros: valet park, good restaurants, bars Cons: expensive rooms more

Where to Park! 7/11/2002

As far as parking goes, everytime we visit, we park in the mall area and walk to the hotel. It isn't far and best of all, It's FREE! It's an awesome hotel and I would recommend just walking through it if you are in Nashville. And if you have children, drive over to Opry Mills (mall) and take them to the ""Rainforest Cafe"" for lunch. Pros: friendly, different Cons: very large, easy to get lost, shops/food high price more

Over Priced and Under Serviced 6/26/2002

My sister (maid of honor) and I stayed at Opryland the night before my wedding. The bell-hop said if they took our luggage it would be in the room by the time we got checked in. We checked in and went to our room, no luggage. My sister called the bell-hop desk and it started ringing, I took a shower, she was still waiting for an answer, so I took the phone and she showered. Still no answer. I put my dirty clothes back on went to the front desk, found the bell-hop, found our luggage, then carried it to the room myself. While I was on the elevator to the room my sister called and said she had just gotten through!!!! Talk about service???? We were an hour late to the rehersal and were VERY UNIMPRESSED with the hotel in general. Would NOT recommend it to ANYONE! Pros: Nice Ambiance Cons: Horrible Servie, Too Big more

Lots to Do! 6/6/2002

After just visiting the hotel, we decided to splurge and actually spend a couple of nights there. We were not disappointed. There were two days of activities either within the hotel or nearby. The food was just average at all of the restaurants, but it was a beautiful hotel and fun to have so many options in one location. The staff was very friendly and courteous and the room was spacious. more

Great time at Opryland 6/2/2002

My husband and I are from St. Louis, Missouri and stayed at the Opryland Hotel over Memorial Day weekend. What a great place! We had no problems whatsoever, had a very nice room overlooking the gardens, and an overall outstanding time. We would recommend this hotel based on our positive experience. Pros: Uniqueness, Ambiance, Convenience Cons: Pay to park more

A novelty 5/21/2002

Opryland Hotel is kind of neat, I guess, with the big atrium that feels like you're in the middle of a big outdoor garden. But it's hardly worth traveling to Nashville for. The city has some really cool attractions--a big gaudy over-the-top hotel is not one of them. more
