We had the great time in there roof top patio, it has a great view of the city ,but the best thing there was the variety of frozen concoctions .We had the Southern Gator and the Island Punch they were excellent if you come by Dallas stop by and say Hi to Sal he took great care of us more

Karaoke! Rooftop! Alligator! 11/17/2011

I went to Gators last Thursday around 10:30 pm and they was doing Karaoke! There was Australians everywhere! We ate the gator tail and crawfish. I drank a Lethal Weapon frozen drink, the bartender Miguel sure makes a mean drink! I'll surely be returning there soon! I hear they have bands on the roof top sometimes too! more

Great food and staff 12/15/2010

We went to Gator's a few weeks ago before a Mavs game - had a great time. The burgers and red beans and rice were delicious. They have a new shuttle that we took over to the game.. Alfonso the driver convinced us to come back after the game for karaoke - had a blast!! more

nice place 2/12/2009

My fiance and I were in the west end for a mavs game on tuesday and we decided to go to gators cause we heard about a free shuttle to the game.We get there a little late so we were in a rush. The atmosphere was pretty cool although I was skeptical. The place was clean, servers were nice and the food was to die for-we ordered fried pickles as apps, alligater and crawfish evrything was fabulous.good seasoning, big portions, fresh taste! I was surprised-plesantly!My better half is hooked-she talked to the manager about having our wedding parties there and she is stoked-needless to say we had a great time and we told the manager we'd post a review for the great time-even the shuttle guy rocked. Pros: dart-train access Cons: finding shuttle after game more

Unique 2/6/2009

We went here before a stars game a few days ago and it was awesome. Incredible food - and service. The best thing was that everything is very unique - very ""non"" chain but good stuff. It was pretty busy but we were in and out in about 35-40 minutes and took their free shuttle to the game.....will be back Pros: Food/Service Cons: Pay to park more

Fufn fun fun 1/14/2009

OMG, you HAVE GOT TO GO! This west end sports bar, west end piano bar, west end crab shack, west end roof top bar, in the west end is SO MUCH FUN! They have this piano player that is a hoot and a WALL of frozen drinks with a GREAT happy hour! They also have fun food, like gator :) We live in Dallas and went to the west end to play tourist. What fun. I will be back. Pros: Great happy hour and late entertainment more

Sports fan loves this place 9/19/2008

Every weekend my buddies and I look for a place to watch games, drink beer and enjoy some good game-watching food. THIS IS THE PLACE. Our group ordered burgers and half a dozen appetizers, and everything was good, good, good. We also ""sampled"" most of the frozen drinks and watched games all day. Our waitress was spot-on with the service, too. We have found our permanent place to watch games! more

Family friendly, fantastic food, lots of FUN! 9/19/2008

I have 3 kids, and they always beg to go to Gator's! The place is so much fun, and the staff is always very accommodating to the kiddos. PLUS, my husband and I love it - the menu has a lot of variety, the drinks are strong, and we love the TVs to watch games!! more

Great stuff!!!!! 8/30/2008

Let me start by saying that the place is one of a kind. As soon as you walk in you understand its not your typical bar and grill. My friends and I all had different food and everything was very good. I had the mike's sandwich and i have to say i don't have a clue how to make it but its very good. We went over to the bar and Castro help us pick our frozen drinks off the wall, and he didn't steer us wrong. The prices are good the food and drinks are great and our waitress, Jesica or Yesi (something like that), was the best!!! Pros: Great food, drinks, staff and live music! WAT MORE DO YOU NEED FOR A GOOD TIME! Cons: Tried to tell the manager how good the place was and he blew me off. Young, slim, hispanic felow. more

Love it! 8/10/2008

My boyfriend and I stumbled into this place by accident. We LOVED it! The frozen drinks are awesome, and the food was great too. I think there had to have been 3 or 4 bachelorette parties going that night and the atmosphere was GREAT!!! All the servers were fun, outgoing, and very personable! I will def. be going back!!! more

I don't think so !!! :) 6/19/2008

Who ever wrote the last review must be thinking of another place. I went to Gators Yesterday and had this huge platter of fish, gator and fired shrimp and it was fantastic! On the service I would say he must have been outside or something because I was getting almost too much attention. They filled my ice tea so often I think I drank 4 glasses in an hour and a half, not sure, I lost count! The prices were fair and yes it is great for tourists:) I live here but play tourist because I find them a little more fun than the regular Dallas crowd on occasion. If you are looking for fun frozen drinks, great variety of shrimp, burgers, fish, yes alagator dishes and poor boy like sandwiches it's a great place! Bring your smile and leave your attitude at home, because these waiters are the hardest workers I have seen in a long time and very nice! Two thumbs up from a 'local' tourist :) Pros: Great fun, food and service. more

AVOID AT ALL COST 5/28/2008

I just moved to Dallas and went to Gator's and it made me want to never eat there again. The food and service were terrible. This is the definition of a tourist trap! Our bill was almost $100 and was completely incorrect and the waitress wouldn't reimburse us for her mistakes. more

Awesome Restaurant/Bar 5/13/2008

Gators ROCKS! I visited Gators with some out of town guests on Saturday afternoon and we had the best service, the food was great, the margaritas with chips and queso were awesome! Our server was very nice, helpful (especially with our three young kids) The atmosphere was fun, great music and the staff was so nice (which is hard to find at most restaurants). I highly recommend Gators if you're looking for a fun place with great food. Oh, and the location is great too...West End near the aquarium and JFK Museum. Pros: Great food, location and FUN staff more

Food has no flavor 3/31/2008

I visited Dallas this past weekend and we stumbled upon this place and it looked like it would be a nice place. really clean and neat decor but that's where it stopped. There were two guys standing outside of the place to greet us but once inside we saw no waiters or waitresses whatsoever. We sat ourselves. Finally, got served. I was excited about trying the red beans and rice which were listed in the menu as ""The Best in Dallas."" Sorry folks! No flavor, too much pepper and it may have had about a half of a cup of rice mixed in the ""soup"" that they brought me. The ""cajun chicken"" that was supposed to be added to it was simply a chicken breast cubed and thrown on top. I mean at least try and make it look as it goes in the dish anad not just an afterthought you threw on top. And on top of all of that it was cold. My husband ordered the macho nachos and was equally disappointed. I would not recommend this place for anything more than a place to have a beer. It's hard to mess that up. Pros: neat decor, clean inside Cons: no flavor in the food...just pepper! Cold food more
