If you have a choice DON'T choose this company! They are so unprofessional and will not return your phone calls after you pay in full. They said the pool would be done in 30 days and 2 months later it is not complete. Their excuse was the weather, but it looked pretty nice in San Antonio, Texas today (high 78). more

I am writing this in reference to Gary's Pool & Patio, Dominick and his crew who put in our pool. I want to thank Dominick who did an outstanding job in overseeing everything that was done to our pool. We are so pleased with our pool. It came out beautiful and more than we had expected it to. We contracted with Gary's Pool and Patio about 2 years ago. They said it would take less than a month to go from start to swim. It took three times that long. Many delay..most of them were crews not showing up. They heater they installed takes three days to heat the pool...MUCH TOO LONG!!! The contract was for additional patio but the guy that Gary's sub-contracted with was an idiot. He couldn't understand half of what we were telling him and that was not because of a language problem...he was just very slow. Then...we contracted for cool deck and the canilevel edging. The concrete guy said that the cool deck would be double what Gary's quoted and the edgeing looks like a kindergardener did it. Chucks of concrete were coming off almost immediately and it's sooo not level and puddles up in many areas. On a good note. When we have had problems, we have been able to rectify most of them over the phone. I would not recommend them though as the headaches are of migraine proportion. Pros: I love the fiberglass. Cons: Took a long time...a lot longer than promised. more

Complete satisfaction with my Gary Pool and patio swimming pool and hot tub. It was quick and everything ran pretty much on time (Weather delayed some). They were always very imformative and kept me abrest of all changes. They taught me how to use the equipment and were always helpful when I called with a million questions. They are still helpful with questions a year later. We love my pool and hot tub. We would recommend them highly to anyone! Pros: Very Helpful and informative more

After reading the other reviewer comments, it prompted us to write our own review of our experience with Gary's Pool and Patio. We contracted with Gary's Pool and Patio in May '08, and admittedly, we did get off to a rocky start. Apparently, sales had not communicated with the construction division as part of the process, and after a missed appointment (for which we took time off of work), we were ready to cancel the pool contract out of complete disbelief..just wasn't a good start. Then we heard from Dominick and he put us at ease immediately. Dominick was our project manager; he kept us informed, told us to what expect, and when to expect it, and from the minute he stepped in, there were no surprises. He dealt with our homeowners association (not an easy task), and obtained all the necessary permits. From the time we received the approval from the HOA, the entire process (w/ the pool in the ground, hooked up and running) took 19 days. We have enjoyed our pool every day since we've had it. We have shown our pool to potential customers and they have appeared impressed. We recommend Gary's Pool and Patio and highly recommend Dominick and his crew. Dominick is responsive to the customers' needs and made sure we were happy..he met with us on several Saturday morning appointments which, we're sure, is not part of his regular work week. In reference to the sales part of it, we suggest that you discuss your pool options with Paul Zars; very knowledgeable, personable and extremely helpful. more

I purchase a pool from this company and paid the job before their instalation , since this was one of their demands. They never finish the job, end up installing a heater that was 5 years old and after 2 months I end up hiring another company to finish their job. A big nightmare !! I bought a swimming pool and hot tub from Gary's pool located in Corpus Christi, Tx 8 months ago and was told I had a 1 year warranty for anything that would happen to the pool and pump. I called the manager Scott, to inform him I had a problem with a leak near the pump. He advised me that It would a $70.00 trip fee to come out to look at the problem. This was not in our contract nor nothing was never mention during installation. I do not recommend this company.... more
