Best selection of sandwiches in the city, hands down! 12/20/2006

There are so many sandwiches, I don't know which one's I haven't eaten. They are outstanding and I recommend you don't pass up a side dish. I was glad to see they expanded so I could eat at one when I wasn't downtown. Get there early. I have seen some really long lines. But, trust me, they are worth it. Pros: Sandwiches, Sides, Location Cons: lines, seating more

Ordinary sandwiches 4/12/2005

How is it possible to ruin a meatball sandwich? Go to Gandolfo's and you will find out. Huge selection of sandwiches. I would rather have a huge sandwich, than a huge selection. You can't eat the selection! Locations everywere; none of which are worth finding. I would rather go to ONE location and get a really good sandwich from a limited selection. Oh wait! There is such a place. It's called the Grove Market! Go there instead. Pros: Huge Selection, Many Locations Cons: Mediocre more

Well, at least the Clam Chowder was yum. 5/12/2004

Clam chowder's good, but the chicken is the shaped patty School-Lunch kind and the Bacon is undercooked, shredded Taco Bell lettuce. i don't imagine the bread is always the way it is when i have gone there, but all three (four?) times it was dry and the mayo was thick enough to sog it quickly. It is alot of food if you want value, but the quality is lacking. Capacola is more like, well, ham. I've tried the Park City one and the Sugarhouse one. But i can see, if you're a big hulking hungry man, why you'd choose it for the portions. Pros: Portions more

Good Sandwiches! 1/27/2003

If you want some factory produced sandwich then go to Subway. This place has an insanely vast menu and their bread is far superior to any other sub place. Great prices too! I just wish there was another somewhere in mid-valley. Pros: vast menu, good value, excellent bread Cons: crowded more

Cheap Date Food 12/27/2002

Grab any sandwich here and head to the park/canyon/lake. Why bother with packing your own when they have it all here. The prices can't be beat. Ambience is non-existent so find a piece of the great outdoors. Pros: taste, variety, price Cons: ambience more

Cheap eats to die for! 10/28/2002

Gandolfo's has fabulous sandwiches at such a small price. You can get an 8 in sub (1/2 sand) for around $3 which is less expensive and SO much better than Subway. The full sandwiches are $5-$6 and are HUGE. There are so many choices and so many tasty ingredients to choose from. I suggest the philly cheese steak, or anything with pastrami. Their turkey is excellent too. Just try it, and I know you will love it. Pros: Inexpensive, Variety, TASTY! Cons: Parking more

Mmmm Yummy! 10/4/2002

I was really impressed with the size of the sandwiches, and definitely the taste! Pros: atmosphere Cons: location more

Great Food 8/27/2002

Haven't found anything that I dislike about this place (except maybe the line at lunch time). Try to go a little before noon. more

Ohhhh Baby 8/14/2002

One of the best sandwich joints in the Valley. I also recommend Simply Samiches, Nelson's Frozen Custard, the Italian Place and Tasty Donuts. Great sandwiches, low prices, downtown location. Murphy's is right below if you need a belt with your sub. more

Sandwiches fresh from Brooklyn 8/2/2002

I love this place. As a native of Brooklyn, it truly feels like returning home. Down to the sandwich wrapped in paper and the dude squawking your name as he throws it to you. Wicked awesome. more

Soooo Good! 6/27/2002

Gandolfo's is by far my favorite lunch spot! Their lunch special gives you plenty of fabulous food to eat for a little over $5 bucks - who can argue with that? My personal favorite sandwiches are the Burning Bridge and the Damned Yankee... Gandolfo's takes first place by far! Pros: Inexpensive, FABULOUS Food, Very Filling Cons: No Parking more

Quick lunch, tasty sandwiches 5/20/2002

Forget Subway or those toasted subs a Quizno's. Gandolfo's makes a mean sandwich with fresh veggies, quality meats and great bread. It's always a bit crowded, which makes it a challenge to find a place to sit--but I rarely have to play the vulture for long before I find a table. Pros: great sandwiches Cons: long lines more
