Futon and breakfast 8/18/2005

This "b&b" on bainbridge is actually a futon and breakfast. Its a japanese style home that is actually alomst an exact replica of a traditional style house of 40 years ago. The setting is very comfortable and relaxing. The owners though are not Japanese, they are caucasan, but have had lots of experience with Japan. The breakfast is normal american fare, not really a traditional japanese breakfast which is good cuz it would be rice and pickles for breakfast otherwise. A great place to stay for a quick getaway. more

great retreat near the city 8/17/2005

Fuurin-Oka Futon & Breakfast is a Japanese stype b&b. It has a private, Japanese style guest house for 2 people. The interior design is authentic and peaceful. It also has a private o-furo (Japanese bath) which the host will fill up with hot water before arrival. The guest house faces a small Japanese garden, and a large wood beyond. A very nice Japanese breakfast is prepared by the host. Hosts are very friendly. I've stayed there 3 times and everytime it was a nice refreshment for my soul and body. more
