ON APRIL 20, 2013 AT APPROXIMATELY 1645 I PURCHASED FURNITURE FROM FURNITURE CITY LOCATED AT 5355 N. BLACKSTONE FRESNO, CA 93710. AT APPROXIMATELY 1900 , THE SAME DAY I RETURN TO THE STORE TO CANCEL MY ORDER THAT I HAD PLACED. THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE NAMED FANDI INFORMED ME THAT HE CANNOT CANCEL MY ORDER BECAUSE ALL SALES ARE FINAL. AFTER PRESSING THE ISSUE SOME MORE THIS SALES REPRESENTATIVE TOLD THAT HE COULD TAKE A RETURN BUT THERE WOULD BE A 30% RESTOCKING FEE. I ASKED HIM WHY THERE WAS A 30% RESTOCKING FEE SINCE MY FURNITURE HAD NOT BEEN ORDERED, DELIVERED, OR GIVEN TO ME TO TAKE HOME. HE SAID HE DID NOT KNOW WHY IT WAS JUST WHAT HIS BOSS TOLD HIM. THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE THEN TOLD ME TO WAIT AND HIS BOSS WOULD BE BACK IN APPROXIMATELY 40 MINUTES. AFTER HE REALIZE THAT EXCUSE WOULD NOT WORK WITH ME HE THEN SAID THAT I DIDN’T HAVE A CHOICE BUT TO TAKE THE WARRANTY BECAUSE HE HAD ALREADY FILLED OUT THE INFORMATION ONLINE. \r \r CALIFORNIA STATE LAW STATES, Civil Code section 1723“California law requires that retailers who have a policy of not providing a cash refund, credit or exchange when an item is returned with proof of purchase within 7 days of purchase must inform consumers about their refund policies by conspicuously placing a written notice about their policies, in language that consumers can understand, so that it can be easily seen and read.”\r \r THE RECEIPT AND INVOICE SHEET THAT I WAS GIVEN AND SIGNED DOES NOT HAVE A READABLE RETURN POLICY CITING THE COMPANY’S POLICIES SAYING ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND THAT THERE IS A 30% RESTOCKING FEE. \r \r CIVIL CODE SECTION 1723 OF CALIFORNIA STATE LAW ALSO SAYS “ The policy must be displayed either at each entrance to the store, at each cash register and sales counter, on tags attached to each item, or on the company's order forms, if any. A return policy printed only on a receipt, for example, is not sufficient.” \r \r I ALSO HAVE PHOTO EVIDENCE SHOWING THAT THEY ARE IN VIOLATION OF THE POLICY THAT STATES THAT IT MUST BE VISIBLE AT THE REGISTER OR POINT OF SALE AND AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE STORE.\r \r TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE I WILL LIKE FURNITURE CITY TO REFUND ME THE TOTAL SALES AMOUNT OF $2324.13 IMMEDIATELY AND I WOULD LIKE TO STORE INVESTIGATED FOR VIOLATING CIVIL CODE SECTION 1723. more

Very Happy!!! I went here looking to buy a new couch set and was floored by the deal I was able to get here. They offered a great selection. There were so many items to choose from I didn't have to shop anywhere else. The store was beautiful. The salesperson was very friendly and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I was not only able to get my couch set but the package I bought came with everything I needed for the living room to give it a brand new look, including a FREE TV. And all for just $2000. Talk about a deal! Just got my living room set delivered yesterday and everything looks great! I love my new living room and the TV is so big. I am very happy with their quick service. They ordered it just for me and delivered it very quickly. Their delivery drivers were very nice and they set up everything exactly where I wanted it. I will definitely be coming back to buy a bedroom set for my daughter later on. more

Good place to buy 10/6/2011

I needed a new couch set and I shopped around at the different furniture stores. I came back and bought there because they had the best deal, the store looked the best and they had a unique style that caught my attention. I got my furniture delivered in a short amount of time and now I love it. I've told my friends and family to go there and they have also had very good experiences. more
