Fresh is an awesome atmosphere if looking for a new up-beat salon or as a returning client. Cris is who cut my hair, knowing me from a previous salon she knew I can be a hard-to-handle client. As soon as I explained to her what I wanted in my cut, she got it right away (I was very vague) understanding right off the back. I also told her to do what she wanted but not to cut too much off bc I like my long length. Cris took her time and was very meticulous. She does an amazing blowout on straight hair but also on my natural curly hair. At this time, Cris was training. When her mentor came back around to check my cut, she didn't have to fix a thing. My hair looked beyond amazing once done. Cris is also great with short hair. My mother who has short hair, goes to Cris as well. She is very versatile. Cris is now full swing on the floor and I will be back to her from now on. She has given me one of my best cuts EVER. My cut looks good if I wear my hair straight or curly which is another concern of mine when getting my hair done. Cris is amazing! She is sweet, professional, personable and an outstanding stylist. Telling you, you gotta sit in her chair once. If you do, you will be back again and again. I promise you will not be disappointed. All the interaction I had with the staff at Fresh was pleasant. I called Fresh to see if someone could fix my haircolor. I had been to a different salon that botched up my color twice, they did not match my roots to the rest of my hair and left grey hair still showing. I was pretty upset and worried that I would never get my hair back to the color I wanted. I decided to call Fresh because I remember seeing women with great hair walking out of this salon in the past. I was not disapointed. The receptionist on the phone was great. She was sympathetic and set up a consult with Regina the same day. Regina looked at the pictures of the way my hair color used to be and listened to everything I had to say. I decided to go with Regina and I am so glad I did. She is phenominal. I can't remember the last time my hair color looked this good. My grey is gone and the botched color job is history. My hair looks beautiful. I will be booking color appointments with Regina from now on. more

I went to go get my hair colored last week, I wanted a change but still wanted it to look like me. I was going from blond to brown. Brooke had done it and she did a fantastic job consulting with me on the hair color and also making sure I was comfortable the whole time. A girls hair is a big deal and she assured me that it was going to look great. After it was done I couldn't believe how right she was. The way she was able to match the hair perfectly with my complexion for a natural look was satisfying. I can't see myself trusting anyone else and am looking forward to seeing her for my next visit. I came into the salon because my friend Angel works there and let me just say how thrilled I was to finally get a great cut. Emily cut and styled my hair in under an hour (unheard of because I have very thick hair). She thinned it out w/out it looking choppy and the overall quality of the cut was amazing! I will never go to another salon! Emily is amazing and anyone can tell you that a great cut goes a long way!! more

Great salon! Just moved to the area. I tried two separate salons, and each time I was disappointed. But after my visit today at Fresh Salon, I have no need to worry. The salon is clean, professional, and offers great products. And most importantly, Nikki gave me a great haircut - I walked out a more confident person. Would recommend this salon to anyone. more

I have always had an infatuation with ?BIG? hair, now keep in mind I naturally have a head full of hair. Seeing that I had virgin hair for over five years I had decided, back in Nove, to take the plunge and go even ?BIGGER,? take a step back into the eighties, and get a PERM!!! Yes I said it a PERM!! I was referred to FRESH SALSON after being told ""NO PERM FOR YOU"" by several hairstylists who were against/ intimidated to give a perm. When I arrived to FRESH I felt like I had arrived to a Destination Getaway Salon and Spa. The establishment is very trendy and unique, clean, well staffed, and I was greeted with a very warm welcome. I had never been to Fresh, so by the luck of the drawl I was place with Regina for a consultation. Regina provided a very uplifting consultation with new ideas, techniques, and ways we could make my hair ?BIG!? I was so excited about Regina?s suggestions and knowledge on perms that with NO hesitation we moved forward with a perm. I was amazed during the rolling process on her technique, layering methods, and alterations of the sized curlers. In past perms, back in my younger years, one sized curler was used in rows across my head.. Regina, knew exactly what she was doing to achieve the look I wanted. Needless to say I have had my perm for 6 months now and it is still just as full and curly as it was when I left the salon. I hate to sound BIG headed, LOL since ?BIG HAIR? was what I was going for, but, I seriously get a compliment daily on how lushes and natural my curls look. I would recommend Fresh Salon to anyone who is looking to take a step back to the 80?s and go for the BIG HAIR! Ask for Regina too, she was awesome.. more

I have been a patron of Fresh Salon since it's opening day and have never been disappointed. Adrena is a top notch colorist, I get many compliments on my hilights and always have to recommend Adrena. Nikki does an awesome job with my short haircut that she has perfected for me over the years and I never hesitate to send someone to her, I know she will not disappoint! I have tried other places, not because I was not happy, but because I was trying to save money in these tough economic times. With a short haircut I have to visit the salon at least every 5 weeks. The other visits were nightmares and I ran back to Nikki and Adrena and never regretted that decision! Nikki even touches up my hairstyle in between cuts with a neck or bang trim and doesn't charge me at all, she is a sweetheart. Everyone that works at Fresh Salon is friendly and genuine while being true professionals that truly know their craft. more

Because of the positive online comments I decided to give Fresh Salon a try but unfortunately my experience wasn't the best and I won't be back. I arrived approx 5 minutes early; No one greeted me; The one person at the desk was talking to a potential new customer and never made eye contact with me; I sat down; A second person came to the front desk - never looked at me or acknowledged my presence; but finally said something and when I realized she was speaking to me I wasnt sure what she said. It was HAVE you checked in or maybe it was DO you need to check in. She slid a clipboard in my direction. It was already after my appointment time at this point. I quickly filled in my personal contact info and my SENIOR stylist appeared. She started out friendly enough. But when I started explaining my haircut idea, she looked unsure; I pulled out a hair photo that I liked, and I showed her several other photos and what I liked about each one. She began to tell me why my hair would not look like the photos. I explained that was ok and that over the years I'd had my hair cut in every style and although I wasn't 100% sure about the cut I wanted now, I wanted her advice and did she think this or that would look ok and did she think she could do it. My thought: short on top, lots of layers, length touching shoulders or a little shorter was ok, with fringy or wispy ends, and uneven or angular bangs, but not shaped around the ears and not a bob. The more I tried to engage her in conversation to discuss the hairstyle, the more her facial expression seemed to tell me she didn't know what I was talking about, and the more quiet she became. BTW, this salon is very loud and the acoustics are not good for conversing with your stylist! We went to shampoo. We returned to the chair. She was quiet. I spoke up and said I hope I didn't come across as really picky about my hair because I'm not - I just want something different. She reviewed with me what she was going to do: a short shag with some length and whispy ends. I said ok that sounds good. She began cutting and although I wanted many different layers and she was doing a razor cut, it didn't take her long. She asked if I spent alot of time on my hair in the mornings and I said unless it's a special event I'm not one who takes alot of time with my hair. She used a brush and hairdryer to quickly shape and control my hair. She gave me the mirror and turned me around. I had to ask for my eyeglasses so I could see again - and - the hair was pretty but it wasn't what I wanted. I wanted something a little more edgy and exciting - with more texture and probably more product. But there was NO WAY I was going to get into another ""discussion"" with her about how I envisioned the cut, so I said it looks good. ((Besides, I saw that it wasn't short on top and I had enough hair to get another haircut from somewhere else, if I decided to.)) She spoke quietly and smiled, looking very relieved and ready for me to leave. I paid $75 including tip and I regret going to Fresh Salon. Today - a week later, I got a phone call/message asking about my experience but I'll not call them back. Maybe they'll read this here. more

Regina and Nikki are amazing! I have spent so long searching for a good salon and this is it! I tell Regina the look I am going for, and she hits the nail on the head everytime! I have always been so happy with the color and friends have started to copy it! Nikki's attention to detail is incredible! I have never found a hair out of place. Everyone is so nice and so good at what they do. I am a customer for life! Thanks ladies!! more

I have been to 7 different salons over the past 5 years and this salon is by far the best. Adrena is absolutely amazing with color and Nicki gave me the best haircut of my life. The shop is extremely clean and the ladies at the front desk are extremely pleasant. Scheduling and payment is a breeze and they are always on time. Fresh Salon provides top quality service at reasonable prices and the salon offers an upscale feel without the ""stuffy"" attitude. I am so glad my friend recommended them. more

The #1 thing I look for in a salon is consistency. Consistency in the service, from the receptionists to the colorist & stylist. Fresh has it all! Adrena & Nikki have been my colorist & stylist for over 10 years. Both do an excellent job! I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else. The entire ""Team"" at Fresh Salon is very friendly & knowledgable! The atmosphere at Fresh is casual & relaxing. If you're looking for the best....look no more. I highly recommend Fresh Salon! more

I was very lucky when I walked into Fresh Salon and had Dustin to do my hair. It is long and I wanted to just get a good shampoo and blow dry. I was amazed at my hair when he finished. Thank you Dustin! You're the best!!! more

After reading and hearing so many wonderful reviews, I finally went and booked an appointment at Fresh... Regina did the most amazing job on my color. She took her time, explained throughly and helped keep the quality of my hair in great shape. The color turned out rich and beautiful. Next, Dustin helped me pick out the cutest med-length Bob... it was great to see the amount of work he put in to every little detail. Both ""teams"" were quick and fabulous. This salon is amazing!! Finally! After living in Charlotte for 5 years, I've found my perfect ""A Team"". Adrena does an amazing job with my color. Amanda's haircuts are fabulous. The thing I appreciate most about both of them is that they really listen to what I want. They ask questions to clarify what I've said and they make suggestions based on their professional opinions. Then they do what they say they are going to do! Always a good sign when strangers compliment your haircut/color. :) The location is super convenient. The front desk staff are always helpful and friendly. The prices are reasonable and the salon has a relaxing atmosphere. You won't be disappointed. more
