Try, I dare you, try to NOT waste 30 minutes in this place. You thought you weren't interested in hobbyist model rocketry magazines, didn't you? Nope, you're interested - check it...

Obscure Mags Found Here! 4/20/2006

This place had Ready Made before Urban Outfitters. It also carried my monthly dose of McSweeney's. I am a magazine hound and I have a hard time not buying something here because I usually can't find it most other places. A WIDE variety keeps me coming back. more

The greatest place to waste time in Seattle 11/28/2005

Try, I dare you, try to NOT waste 30 minutes in this place. You thought you weren't interested in hobbyist model rocketry magazines, didn't you? Nope, you're interested - check it out - they have the latest issue. Perhaps the Russian Vogue will tempt you. Or back issues of Granta. Or a locally-published 'zine of poetry. Or one of the 15+ different biking-related mags. Or Hello!. Or you just need to see your ex's brothers' boarding school friend's wedding covered in the Tattler or Town & Country, but you don't want to buy it. They've got it. Along with everything else published on glossy paper. more

Kill some time reading the news 10/31/2005

Fremont News is a great place to get a newspaper or a magazine. They don’t get annoyed if you stay for a bit to flip through magazines you aren’t going to buy, which is nice if you are waiting for a bus and it’s raining. They have a huge selection at regular prices. If you need to get the news, this is the place to go in Fremont, particularly if you want to get it from something other than the PI/Seattle Times, which are essentially the same thing. more

I love magazines! 8/30/2005

There is something much more appealing and sophisiticated about buying Cosmopolitian and In Touch magazines at Fremont News versus the grocery store. Somehow it just seems more legitimate. I love a newsstand with a great selection. You never know what new magazines you might find. If you head to Fremont News, I hope you will find my new favorite magazine, Seattle, and pick up a copy. more
