Real good coffee, nice service and baristas. The atmosphere is very nice and very cute. Love the fact that they have wi-fi i can just go and order my coffee and sit back and do my work and relax!! Very nice... more

Lighthouse 6/17/2006

Since their switch to Lighthouse beans last year, Fremont coffee has become the only place in Fremont (except Lighthouse, up the hill) to get a decent cup. Rock & Roll Joe is also a reason to stop in. He's a lady killer! more

Wi-fi and Coffee... 4/20/2006

You can't go wrong with great coffee and wi-fi in a cute little house turned coffee shop. The rooms have tiny tables in it, so it feels more like an 'introvert's night out' kind of place. I think they drink the same water as Ladro across the street because they have pleasant baristas here too. Thank goodness. When the weather is fine, there is a deck that is really nice to sit on. And three cheers for the bakery items. more

an awesome break from Peet's/Starbucks 3/13/2006

If you’re tired of the Starbucks and Peet’s coffee chains, head to the Fremont Coffee House, just a couple of blocks west from Fremont Ave on 35th. This coffee spot has a great feel as it is built inside a regular family house with rooms and nooks that carve out semi private spots to read or work on your laptop. They offer pretty much everything that Starbucks does, plus have a great selection of rootbeers and tasty desserts (my favorite was the cardamom cake). There is also seating outside for when it’s nice. more

One of the best Espresso Spots for my Dog and me 12/28/2005

Fremont Coffee is a wonderful discovery that my best friend told me about. A lot of European charm, good coffee and a great deck for Summer or Winter sitting. Best of all there is plenty of space for my dog to sit and think about his next meal. Love this place. more

My favorite Coffee place 12/9/2005

Fremont Coffee is a place, not a shop. Like the best places in Fremont, it has a community atmosphere that is welcoming and cozy. The coffee is usually pretty good, although I've had one or two ordinary brews there. But Fremont Coffee is about more than coffee... it's a 'place' for you to enjoy it. This lovely old converted house has a full deck around it that is unparalleled for soaking up summer (or winter) sun. Art shows are common and the staff are truly hip & friendly. Think 'Cheers' but without the beers on tap. more

Perfect Non-Chain Coffee Shop in Fremont 11/25/2005

Fremont Coffee is a converted old house that still feels more like a house that a coffee shop - lots of quirky rooms, mismatched furniture and lamps. The atmosphere is laid back and funky, just like Fremont. There is free wi-fi, usually reliable, a modest selection of donuts and pastries, the usual coffee and milk concoctions, and an odd array of soft drinks that you've probably never heard of. Most days you'll find a few students or writers wired-in, heads down, tapping away at their keyboards, giving the place a bit of a college-town feel. When the weather is decent, there is a deck and also a cozy front porch where you can watch the local streetlife. more

Great Location, Not So Great Coffee 8/19/2005

I love the way this coffee house looks, mostly because it is literally a house. There's a nice big porch to sit on during those infrequent Seattle sunny days, and there are the different rooms inside the house to either study or chatter with friends. Plus, they have free wi fi. However, I have to be perfectly honest when I say the latte I ordered was truly one of the worst in my life. It reminded me of the one and only time I had to stop at Krispy Kreme and get a latte, an experience I have always regretted. I want to go back, so I'm hoping they have a fantastic selection of teas. more

Espresso on the deck 8/17/2005

Fremont Coffee makes a great capuccino. They brew Vivace -roasted espresso in double ristretto shots at their big espresso machine, and I think it's consistently the best espresso in Fremont. There's a selection of good-looking pastries and donuts, and sandwiches on the menu. A few bottled beers are available; they're also notable for a remarkably large selection of obscure bottled sodas -- some gourmet (if you can call a soda that), and some odd and regional, like Moxie. There's a generous front porch and a huge sunny deck, making this a great place to digest the Sunday paper over coffee. more
