It was always Carrie Bradshaw's live-long dream to live in Paris. She imagined herself luxuriously shopping in Louis Vitton, sipping coffee in cute French cafes, and smoking outside as she admired the Eiffel Tower. And towards the end of the series, when she started dating Aleksandr Petrovsky, she got the chance to move to Paris.
At first, she was ecstatic. But after living there for a little bit, she found herself lonely and wishing for the warmth of New York City and her friends. Eating at Frederick's Downtown is a similar experience - the food and atmosphere is unbelievably great, but it is lacking the warmth and welcoming experience of that many other NYC restaurants provide. The service seems a little detached and aloof.
Otherwise, I would recommend the Tuna Carpaccio with Eggplant Caviar, Toasts Point, Soy-Sesame Emulsion. Single-handedly the best dish of all, which includes all the main dishes.
