I really need this kind of places in my life, a place where you can blow off some of the stress that you cultivated throughout the whole week. more

Its... ok. 2/10/2012

I wasn't impressed with this place, it was awfully loud and I didn't have a good time at all. The atmosphere just wasent what I was hoping it would be. Not too crazy about the food, either. I probably wont come back again. more

Good food for a bar; Very loud inside 5/27/2011

This place has surprisingly good food for a bar and plays a great collection of football games during the NFL season. That said, it's loud as all hell inside to the point that you can't hear anyone talking. The outside patio is better but then you miss out on some of the games. more

D-Magazine voted BEST PLACE TO WATCH SUPERBOWL! 1/28/2011

Here is a 'cut and paste worth reading! more

Not Amazing 1/28/2011

It was not amamzing! Everything was ok but it is not a great place to eat or hang out. more

I am glad the owner could cut and paste his website for his review. The only thing this place has going for it is location. The beer is never cold, the drinks suck and the food is marginal. DO NOT make this the stop for the super bowl. more

The ONLY place to Watch 2011 Superbowl in Dallas! 1/14/2011

My name is Wendy and I am the one that wrote that review that an ex patron apparently got offended by so??.. I went ahead and reworded my review 'in all of my own words'. Hope this satisfies all. Folks, this is a great place. Give it a try, Frankie's Sports Bar and Grill opened in the summer of 2000, they don't have three locations by mistake, Hey and RICK wont be there lol :) It will be in the NY Times on the 30th of January to go to Frankie?s AGAIN for the Superbowl in Dallas , so if you don't like what we have to say. Read the newspaper :) more

SD Charger Fans Invade Frankies! 12/14/2009

Over 200 SD Charger fans invaded Frankies on Saturday night December 12th before going to the game and Jerry's new palace on Sunday. The place went off and the owners and all their employees treated us great! They even played the SD Super Chargers song for us over the house PA system! I own a bar & grill in Carlsbad, California, called the Grand Avenue Bar & Grill (The G Spot) and I am not sure that we would have been able to be so accommodating to so many Cowboy fans - not that we wouldn't want to take their money! Again, Frankie's was great to all of us and when I am back in Dallas, I would definitely go their to eat, drink, and watch sports - the owners and all his employees are great and know how to show and give that Texas hospitality! Pros: Great hospitality more

Really fun bar 12/4/2009

We were in town for the 2009 Cotton Bowl. A friend recommended Frankies and we went by on Jan 1, the day before the CB. They had alot of flat screen TV, so one could see any of the bowl games. The atmosphere was cool, drinks good and the food was better than most bars. But the thing that puts Frankies over the top is the owner(and his wife) are really involved with the bar. Bill(think that is right) was very friendly and helpful to his customers. Spoke with him briefly, nice guy. Pros: Atmosphere, food, fun place more

Very Welcoming Place, Great Service 10/16/2009

My friends and I are visiting the Dallas area and decided to watch the Rutgers Pitt game at Frankies. Pros: Cute Servers,Great Food, Tons of TVs Cons: Popular place can be crowded but everyone is friendly more

Probably the best sports bar in Dallas 4/18/2009

Great place to watch the game, get some good food, or get involved in a game of billiards. There is usually a good crowd of people, and the place feels lively. Good bar and good service. Pros: Reasonably priced drinks, lots of TVs Cons: Can get really packed more

Good Bar, OK sports bar 11/24/2008

Frankies is a good place to watch a game if it is a big or local game that lots of others will be watching, but is not a great sports bar for say a college football saturday with lots of games all over the country that you might be interested in. I love Frankies for watching big Mavs games but there are better places to go to watch out of region college football and basketball games. Pros: Good overall bar scene Cons: Parking can be a mess more

Love love love Frankies 9/12/2008

I have been coming to this place for years. Not only are they great for sports, but the food isn't bad either! Actually the food is GREAT. I went in the first time and had nachos. Talk about 'scary' nachos! I found out that 'scary' is a good thing to the younger generation when it comes to food :) . I recently went back and they were trying out a salad bar. I would eat here every day if I could. They have great pizza, burgers and a great salad bar too now! How could you go wrong? Really, there is something for everyone here :) Pros: great crowd and love Bill the owner when he is in more

The Owner Gave Up His Chair For Me 6/12/2008

Being from out of town, I asked around for the best place to watch the Lakers Celtics game 3. Frankies was the unanimous recommendation. When I get there at game time every seat, inside and outside, is full. So, I ask the friendly guy sitting in the center of the bar wearing a Frankies shirt if he knew how an out-of-towner could get a seat, have a few beers, and watch the game. Bill Katz promply offered the two seats that he and his female companion were using for my buddy and I to watch the game. A very classy - and uncommon move. From there, the staff was flawless (and heavy handed with the Jack pours) and I had a great time. Reasonable prices, great staff, tasty food, and lots of nice people there. Cheers to you guys! more

Most for your Buck 5/1/2008

#1 Sports bar in the US...During the summer sitting on the patio for Sunday Funday is the way to go. They show all the UFC fights so get there early ( 2 hours in advance) otherwise you will be standing with your beer bucket in hand. Every food item is always share. Every Cowboys, Mavericks, Stars game the owner ( big bald guy with flag) gets the crowd pumped up for each game and it feels like your at the stadium or arena. The wait-staff is friendly and will accomodate, like getting extra chairs from the basement. Even the busser speaks english and will get you that extra ranch. Oddly, they have a bathroom attendant, but hey, atleast it's clean. My girlfriends and i go there to watch the games and the drinks are stiff and we leave happy. I highly reccomend this place to anyone who just wants to have a good time. Thanks Frankie's!! Pros: Service, Cons: Cigar Smoking more

You can get it done at Frankies. Friendly excellent service, good food & beer, fast free wireless, sports, babes and parking, coming from a traveling man, couldn't ask for more! 3/12/2008

Nice neighboorhood, real people, a unique menu which kept me having fun while working. I would suggest the ""Jimmy the Greek Salad, and a tailor made pizza. Pros: Free parking close to the establishment. Cons: Music a bit loud more

Service with an attitude 2/14/2008

Great place for about everything. Beward of the nachos seriously scary. When the girl says a full order feeds 5 shes not lying. Great place to go even when theres not a game. Pros: Nachos and cold beer Cons: service and fights more

best of the best 1/30/2008

Frankie's is the ulitmate haven for those who love to eat great food, catch the game and be submerged in an ambiance such that you do NOT miss your couch at half time. By the way, your girl won't be left out. She can order her fav cocktail while someone else is grabbing the beer and cleaning up after you. This joint rocks! Check them out, and you'll go back for every game. Pros: Ecclectic menu Cons: None! more

Best sports bar in town 1/10/2008

Frankie's is wonderful! When I go there, I feel like I'm going to my best friend's house to watch a football game. The atmosphere is great. The bartenders remembered my name after my first visit. The owners are always around and come by to chat when they can. Everyone who works there is so friendly. The food is awesome - great chicken nachos, wraps, sandwiches - and the portions are huge. There are tons of TVs, so you can always see from wherever you are sitting. Parking is never a problem. I think Frankie's is the best sports bar in town! Pros: Frankie's is just great! Cons: There are none. more
