Ordered the cheese pizza. Strangest flavor mixture. Had globs of green cheese that were pungent. Crust was light and tasty without the grease found on many pizza crusts.

This is one of the best salons I have ever been to. The service is great and is in a friendly environment... I will definitely go back and will refer all my friends to go to this place. The owner is the sweetest lady in the world. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/29/2013

My wife and I were heading out for some brisket and ""sause"", changed our minds, and made a sharp turn into Fralo's. The atmosphere is very rustic and relaxed. The menu is very eclectic and a bit daunting. My wife and I are traditionalists when it comes to pizza, and they do offer the option to create your own. Our appetizer came directly from the oven to our table the sauce and cheese bubbling away. The pesto sauce was creamy, rich, and not too herbal. Our pizza was thin and very tasty, the slices were not uniform, which if not intentional, gave it character. The toppings were generous and fresh. We definitely will return with a more daring selection. more

We recently took advantage of a rare night with no kids to go to Fralo's. We have had their pizza on a ""pick it up and take it home"" basis, but had not had the opportunity to dine in. We were both very impressed. There is just something enjoyable about dining Al Fresco on a warm Hill Country night. Even better when the food, the service, and the entertainment were all as enjoyable as they were. It was packed, but the wait times for the drinks, appetizer, and pizza were all surprisingly quick given the crowd. We shared the Tomato and Basil Bruschetta for a starter. It was quite enjoyable, very fresh tasting tomatoes and basil, and the balsamic vinaigrette was impressive. For the main, we could not decide, so we ordered the sampler. We opted for the Pozzi, the What the Duck?, the Spanako, and the Mediterranean. All four were incredible, and were enjoyed both on the premises, and later than evening at home. Cannot say enough good things about the experience. The service was terrific, we never had to wait for a glass of wine, beer, water. Looking forward to another visit soon. more

Great Night Out 1/29/2011

A quick note and a BIG THANK YOU....my family and I, looking for a quick bite out got a lot more on Friday night, seated in the tent, listening to Chris Taylor and enjoying the pizza and beer lent to the best evening out than we have had in a long time. Even though it was a busy night, the staff did a great job staying on top of everyone's needs and did not skip a beat...GOOD JOB!!!\r Fralo's has become a regular for our family and friends!! more

Definately some of the BEST Pizza 1/12/2011

Every time we have had pizza here it is wonderful, perfectly cooked, crispy crust on the bottom, and the toppings always fresh. You will never be disappointed with the pizza pies. My only complaint is sometimes the service is slow, but then again, who cares when the pizza is this good. Open more locations! more

Best pizza in San Antonio 8/12/2010

If you love the Texas hill country and great food, great music, the outdoors and fun, make it a point to eat at Fralo's! Frank and Lori serve the best pizza in Texas, but do not miss their chicken alfredo or crispy zucchini and desserts. Where else could you build your own pizza from a half dozen sauces, about a dozen different cheeses, a dozen + different meats including a vegan, and over two dozen different veggies, nuts and fruit? If you're a weenie, you can even eat inside where it's air conditioned! If you're a giant weenie, with no taste buds, at least drive by Fralo's on Saturday night at about 9 and see what you're missing! I'll wave at you! more

best pizza ever! 8/4/2010

I've had pizza before, but Fralo's is the best. the crust is handmade and has such good flavor. the cheese is amazing! the staff is always friendly and the owners are 2 of the nicest people i've met. the other food that i've had on the menu is amazing as well. I love baked cheese tortellini and Fralo's blows everybodys away. I wont have pizza anywhere else!! more

Best Cheese Pizza Ever! 4/24/2010

My husband and I LOVED their cheese pizza - with the gorgonzola cheese! We both agree - the best we've ever had, and we've lived all over the country. You do need to like gorgonzola cheese before you order it, but if you do, it is fantastic!\r They have plenty of vegetarian options as well.\r The tiramisu, however, is made with cream cheese and tastes more like cheesecake than tiramisu. It's good, if you want a cheesecake-like dessert, so just be aware of that. Pros: Great Ambience, Great pizza, outdoor dining, live music more

Best Pizza in Town 3/24/2010

Everything and anything you could want on a pizza, great place love that its a bit out of the city, love the outdoor seating. Love the BYOB! Pros: Great Toppings Cons: Can't think of any more

Still able to keep warm 12/2/2009

I went looking to fralo's as i have before but recently they put up a huge tent covering all the outside seating. Inside the tent are heaters and the bands are still able to set up and play. The tent does help with the cold air so if you are thinking it's too cold to go to that great pizza place just go on in. It is done up nice with lights inside. I can't wait to go back the food was great as always as well as the service! more

Fralo's is well worth the drive! 10/23/2009

This was my first visit to Fralo's. We traveled from 281/1604 not sure what to expect but it was well worth the trip. The restaurant is wonderfully family oriented. My eight year old son enjoyed socializing with other kids around the campfire, while my husband and I enjoyed some adult time. We ordered a simple pizza, Cured Prosciutto, black olives, mushroom and cheese. The pizza was cooked to perfection w/ very lien Prosciutto, a delicious sauce, and the crust was quite tasty. We had the Pigtails as a starter. The Serrano ham was perfectly salted and complemented the Bufala Mozzarella. Our waitress Melanie was delightful. The price is affordable - we spent $48.15 with tip for three with dessert. The only other pizza that I can say that I enjoyed as much was at Dough's. I highly recommend Fralo's and can't wait to return. Pros: Pizza is fantastic, service great, serves cotton candy Cons: Nothing more

Finally my quest is over 10/10/2009

I have lived in San Antonio for over 4 years and have not found a place to satisfy my self described pizza snobbery. Growing up near New Haven Ct I have been accustomed to gourmet pizza. The ingredients are A+ the service was great, the owner even talked to us for a few just before leaving for a catering gig. My first bite I knew I was in for a treat. The only thing missing was a foxon park birch beer. My husband enjoyed his calzone- he said it wasn't the best but it ranked up there. So if you like small, cozy, intimate atmosphere's you should really try this place Pros: New Haven style pizza in San Antonio Cons: No Birch Beer, No liquor license more
