I took my first ever riding lesson six years ago and can't imagine being anywhere else. Fox Heath offers lessons in the indoor and outdoor ring as well as an open field with natural jumps. The property and surrounding area is gorgeous for trail rides. There's a Hunter Pace in Spring and another in the Fall giving riders the opportunity to ride through the woods, across streams and fields, and over natural jumps. Fox Heath is home to the Huntingdon Valley Hunt hounds and twice a week during fox-hunting season, the hunt originates there. Fox Heath is active in AHS (Associated Horse Shows) and participates in competitive shows almost weekly during show season. Fox Heath hosts several shows throughout the year, including the super-entertaining Halloween Show featuring costume classes for riders and horses. There's summer camp. There's an on-site saddlery fully stocked with anything you or your horse may need. The teaching staff -- Patty Renner, Nancy McClure, and Claire Harris -- is the best around! There's a leasing program; and when you're ready to take the plunge and buy your own horse, they'll find your perfect match. The boarding program is excellent with stalls in varying sizes for the smallest ponies to the largest draft horses. And if all of this isn't enough, there are garden parties, fashion shows, Parrelli lessons, and dressage classes. The barn is always expanding it's offerings to accommodate the interests of its riders. I will always be learning and never be bored!
