Andrea does what other travel agents should do, but won't. That is, she provides professional travel advice and guidance. So many others just say, ""Tell me when you want to go, where you want to go and where you want to stay and I'll book it."" In the internet age, that's a worthless service. If I knew all that I could book it myself! A travel agent should provide educated advice born of personal experience. That is the kind of service Andrea provides. She's also flexible and creative. We sometimes travel with family from another state and she is willing to book travelers leaving from different cities, something other travel agents refuse to do (They tell me, ""We'll book you from Denver and just let your family figure out how to meet you there."") She's been in business a long time and has seen much of her competition dry up. The fact that she's still in business tells you that she provides great value. more

My daughter placed a destination wedding through Fox Point Travel and requested that family and friends utilize them for travel and accommodations. Five of us in my family did so. Two other families traveling for the wedding and utilizing Fox Point Travel also relayed to us problems with their accommodations and travel arrangements. I will not go into details, but the owner, Andrea, could not get the details right even after discussing them with her several times. Due to her errors, I ended up spending over five hundred dollars more for the room accommodations, even more if you count the advertised rates for Dreams Villamagna in Neuvo Vallarta! In addition, the flight arrangements were not the best. We could have done much better had we placed them ourselves. I will never use this agency again, and I suggest that anyone thinking of doing so, be very, very cautious and double-check every detail directly with the hotel and airlines yourselves!
