according to them my dog had a skin tag that can be removed with a simple surgery. then she tries to hear his hear and ""cant find it"" and wanted to do test on him that would cost 300. i got home and heard it perfectly fine. and just today i get home and his leg is swollen and he wont put it down. they just want money. more

Staff - receptionists and vet tech - were polite and helpful. Dr. Clark was friendly, respectful and competent. She was very gentle and caring with my dog. Cost of service and meds was VERY reasonable compared to your average high priced vet. My experience with them was very good and I have no complaints. I will certainly use them again.\r more

I called them and they wouldn't even see my dog, I explained I had financial problems due to a layoff. They said they couldn't do anything for her because she has breathing issues and weren't set up to do surgery on dogs with special needs. They told me to go to an emergency vet which I explained I didn't have the money for, they could have cared less. Totally heartless people. more

I brought my 4 yr old pit bull into be spayed a month ago. Being a first time dog owner I don't have much to compare it to. But I felt it went as I expected. The staff were helpful, some were friendlier than others, the ones that I wouldn't say were friendly were just matter of fact and it was more personality, I don't feel anyone was rude. I do feel I had ask a lot of questions that they didn't anticipate my questions and give me answers, but in the end I got the info I needed, again I think it was personality. When I had an issue and had to call the direct line almost 2 weeks after the spaying I was called back by a vet and since I didn't get to my phone he had someone call me back the next business day. I always found I had to leave a message and someone would call me back in the evening. This didn't bother me that it worked differently than normal businesses. The spaying and other things my dog had done were 1/2 the price it would have been locally. I traveled an hour to get there. I am going back to do the vaccine clinic b/c I can't find anything local that can compare to their prices. more

A place with a heart 2/27/2012

I went to the Fox Memorial Clinc and saw Dr Levy for my Cat. He was very compassionate to her and my family. After seeing Dr Levy, I only had a couple more weeks with my sweet longtime companion. Because of his assurance and care, she lived out her comfortable last days. FMC can have a little wait to see them but it was worth it. They seemed to do the best they can to get you in. The prices are very reasonable too! more

Purrfectly Caring 3/28/2011

I have taken my healthy cats to be vaccinated and spayed at the Fox clinic over the last 7 years. I found the vet techs friendly and warm, and the vets understanding and practical. They don't try to sell you fancier food and expensive tests or treatments - I truly appreciate that! They are very busy - I'll concede, and it is very hard to get to talk to a real live person at the desk! When I tried to make my most recent appointment last week, I ended up playing phone tag with the reception. It seemed easier just to visit them (when I was in the neighborhood) to make the appointment! Otherwise, they are a fine team of vets, and the front desk folks work hard to keep up their good cheer and humor through their busy day! more

Very nice and understanding 9/23/2010

I was referred to Fox by an animal shelter I know. My cat has a tumor on her belly and the vets were charging tons of money to get it removed and tested for cancer. When I called Fox, I left a message explaining my situation. They called back within a few hours, were attentive and understanding, and offered various options for much less money. So far I'm very pleased with them! more

No Help Provided. 4/26/2010

There is a website for Fox .M. Clinic offering services and encouraging people to call to bring in their pets for quality affordable service, however When you call there is an answering machine where you leave a message, I left an urgent message that our little dog had a small-(quarter sized) bleeding wound from a ruptured cyst and needed to be seen-I never received a call back, I kept calling them over-and-over finally someone picked up, after I explained the urgency of the matter they said they were booked & told me to go to my previous vet-(almost 2 hours away)--but since we moved Fox Clinic is local to us and I dont understand why on their website they seem helpful, but at least in our case they were not willing to be helpful at all. They should not have turned us away and they need to start answering the phone. Pros: none that I know of ? Cons: No help provided, answering machine more

Should be shut down 2/24/2010

I found this place on the internet n decided to go bc of the lower cost, I went today to get my dog neutered, my appointment was @ 9am,I rushd to the place bc I live far n they didn't open their doors till 9:15, the staff is inconsiderate, rude, and have no manners. The place is not clean, smells like pee all over the place.after I told him my dog was hospitalized they made me wait over n hour to tell me needed to fax info on why he was hospitalized 2 weeks ago n then needed to call back to reschedule, off course with a terrible attitude, needless to say I left and never came back. more

Misleading and rude 10/19/2009

Made an appointment for our dog who has bad allergies. The lady told me 30 something dollars on the phone and when i get there its 40 something because its a skin problem diagnosis. I was not only told fale information but they never even looked at our dog !!! Plus the Receptionist was rude and very unconcerned about the welfare of our dog and just seemed like she hated her job. Then do us a favor and find a new job! Now our dog has to suffer longer because of this ""LOW income pet care"". Its total Bull!!!!They had the audacity to have ANIMAL PLANET HoUSTON on the TV..And its a pure contridiction in what service they are providing..in the end my quote of 30 plus dollars turned to $60 and that doesnt include any meds that might be needed...such lack of concern and compassion for animals...they should be closed down for animal cruelty!!!! Cons: everything more

Stay away 10/14/2009

you pay for what you get... If you want quality care go somewhere else! sometimes the cheaper prices are not worth it and this is that kinda place... seems all they can do is basic things such as exams and spays and neuters and forget about xrays you have to schedule those on a separate day! hmm... you mean I came all this way and I have to come back? whatever! ill pay the higher prices for higher level of care Pros: Cheap prices Cons: Bad Client Care more

WASTE OF TIME...... 7/30/2009

My dog was diagnosed with kidney stones 2 years ago and received surgery to remove them. I recently noticed that she was showing symptoms of having the kidney stones again and contacted Fox Memorial Clinic because the surgery for kidney stones is very expensive and my vet informed me that their prices were significantly less than the average vet . I had to leave 3 messages over a two week period of time just to get someone to call me back for an appointment. It's next to impossible to get someone live when you call in, nine times out of ten you talk to an answering machine. When I finally got a call back, I explained to the receptionist the problem that my dog was having in detail and she set up a time for us to come in. I live an hour away from the Fox Memorial Clinic but I felt that it was worth the drive due to the significant difference in cost for surgical procedures, x-rays, etc... At the appointment, they charged me $37.00, took a quick look at my dog and told me that the kidney stones needed to be diagnosed by taking x-rays and we would have to make another appointment for that. They said that the first appointment is normally an evaluation. Huh??? I asked if they had anyone in house that could do the x-rays and they confirmed that they did but they said that was not their normal procedure. I explained that I live an hour away and it would make more sense to get a diagnosis right then and there and they would not accommodate that. The told me that if I felt it were an emergenct, I should take my dog to an emergency clinic!!! So basically, I drove an hour and paid $37.00 for someone to tell me that my dog needs an x-ray that will probably take me another 10 calls to schedule 4 weeks from now. Let me also mention that they aren't the friendliest people I've ever talked to. With that said, my dog is going to her normal vet tomorrow where she will get an evaluation and x-rays in one appointment. The hassle and aggravation isn't worth the lower prices.... more

Fox Staff members are tops in my book! ;o) 12/2/2008

I can't understand how people have had problems using the Fox clinic? Pros: Very fair and affordable prices Cons: Too far from home more

Good Prices - Not So Good Customer Service 10/10/2008

This past Monday, I called and left a voicemail message about wanting to bring my kitten in for neutering. They called me back in a few hours and said that I need to get an exam release form from my current vet. I printed out the form from the website and faxed it over to my doctor. Pros: Prices Cons: Customer Service more

Bad Service 8/13/2008

I adopted a kitten through them and when I called numerous times about the kitten possibly having an upper respiratory infection (which was supposed to be medically covered by them) my calls were never returned which forced me to have to go to another vet. more

Very Pleased with Services 2/22/2008

I was told from my local veterinarian that it would cost me $350 to have my female chihuahua spayed. I called Fox Memorial Clinic and had it done for $103. BIG DIFFERENCE. She was still able to stay overnight and got excellent care. They even clipped her nails. When she came out of surgery they called me to tell me that she was OK and had drank a little water and was doing fine. The office is clean. The staff is friendly and I will use their services again. Pros: Price, Cleanliness more

RUDE IGNORANT BREED DISCRIMINATION STAFF 2 9/12/2007

I also have a BITPULL, and the first time I visited the Fox Memorial Clinic it was OK. The nurse was better with my dog than the Doctor. The nurse spoke to him and made him feel welcome. The Doctor would not even go close to him without a mussel on him. I put the mussel on himt but I was not to happy about it. Pros: LOW COST AND LOCATION Cons: NOT FRIENDLY WITH PITBULLS more
