Flowing Tide Pub

The Flowing Tide now has two locations, but I will write about the one closest to us, on N. Mc Carren near Albertson's. For a quick and relatively inexpensive dinner, you can't beat it. The menu is somewhat limited and not especially creative, but their Fish and Chips are great. Food is always fresh and tasty and servings are more than ample. The steak sandwich is a bargain, as is the 'pot roast' platter- lots of roast with a wine/mushroom gravy with mashed potatoes and veggies. The beer menu is extensive with something for almost anyone's taste. The downside - on a weekend night it's just another noisy crowded pub, stay away if boisterous sports fans disturb you. There is a non-smoking section but it really is not separated, so if you get unlucky and a chain smoker sits adjacent to your table you probably will be less than happy. Service is hit and miss, sometimes you get wonderful service, but at other times you have to send out a search and rescue team to find your server. more

I've been to Flowing Tide Pub on many occasions, and I have to tell you that I've never once been disappointed! I have tried a variety of their dishes and beverages and all have been wonderful! Their fish and chips is my favorite, and I hate fish! It's a fun atmosphere with fantastic food and great prices. You will love it! more

Flowing tide is a little pub-slash-restaurant with a bar feel to it. They serve sandwiches and some small meals, but I think the primary draw is the night life scene. They have live music on a semi-regular basis and it is always a great time. Less formal than other night spots, it offers a great time, nothing too fancy and a great time with lots of people to meet and talk with. Call them up and check about ladies night and other things like that. Sometimes they have some really great. more
