My boyfriend was really sick with a sinus infection and I was referred to Dr. Fluerimont from Weil Cornell Medical College. She happened to be the ONLY doctor who had Saturday Hours. Her office was ran by only her. No receptionist or anything. I made sure before we went that she took our insurance, of which is a very very good plan with great coverage. She took my boyfriend into the room and would not let me go with him. She wanted to do a strep test but informed him it would cost him $75 out of pocket. Of course he refused because this is something covered by insurance. She then asked him to lay down and and started to put the round stickies with wires all over his chest. She performed an EKG on his heart. She asked him once more about the strep test, when he refused she left the room and told him to change back into his clothes, leaving the stickies all over his chest. He had to take them off himself. Our copay is $15 and she informed us we owed her $30. When inquiring about why she said that the EKG was $15. I overheard and opened the door and she asked me to step out of the room but I refused, claiming why she would do an EKG with out asking, especially when we were there for a sinus infection, and then try to charge us for something we did not consent to. She got upset and said fine it will be $15. She prescribed him a medicine for strep even though she did not do the test, and we know he does not have strep. She never looked in his throat or nose. She also prescribed him an anesthetic for his throat, to numb it. WEIRD LADY WHO IS TRYING TO SCAM YOU OF YOUR MONEY. She should be reported.
