Flounder tasted strong a sure sign of aging fish. Shrimp was pretty good but slaw was lacking. Comparing Fitzgerald's to another local calabash style seafood restaurant, Mayflower, Mayflower has nothing to worry about. For lunch we found the food pricey and scarce. Really do not care about atmosphere but it was also lacking as in non-existent. Service was also lacking, waitress like the serving size, scarce. But what really ticked me off was the cashier. She was snotty, gave the impression she was to good to be there and left a worse taste in my mouth than the old flounder did. Usually give restaurants at least three opportunities to prove themselves, but if I am going to spend $23.00 not including tip for two at lunch, it ain't gonna be at Fitzgerald's.
