These people are scammers! They offer ""free oil changes for life"". They don't tell you that synthetic is not covered. When you go to get it serviced, because if you don't get it there it voids your warranty, they tell you that you signed a waiver when you bought the car. These people are horrible. Don't trust them! more

Best auto service in town 11/16/2011

I have been going to First Team Auto Mall for the past 10 years and have purchased 3 cars over that time. While my kids lived in town, I always have taken the cars to 1st Team for service. Sure, I guess you can get them serviced for a couple of dollars less from Joe's Garage but you would not get the professional personal service I have gotten from Ted Arven (Subaru Service Manager). He has always explained what has needed to be done in real English. more

I have worked with many new car dealers since 1988 and First Team Auto Mall has by far exceeded my best expirence at any time in the auto repair industry. Thanks for givining me the opportunity to meet and serve the best customer base ever.\r more

Friendly, Communicable, not $$$ 9/26/2011

As a student at VT, I was reluctant to go to the dealer. Anyways I had the CEL light on and a few other things needed. With a four hour wait there are plenty of things to do within walking distance (putt-putt), Kroger, public library). First Team was very friendly, fixed the CEL, and even gave me a 10% discount off the ENTIRE bill, considering the coupon I brought could only top about 3/4 of the generous amount the outside service man gave. Would go here again. more

Best car dealership in the area 7/22/2010

This is my 4th purchase I have made with First Team Auto Mall (and 4th VW). I keep coming back not only because of my loyalty to VW, but also because I appreciate the friendliness, helpfulness, and laid back attitude of the sales staff. I have never felt pressured or condescended. Pros: Great sales team, really great attitudes and so nice more

Everyone was great, they treated me with respect and were more helpful than anyone I have ever dealt with. I used to hate car salesman, but First Team changed my mind! Pros: very friendly, encouraging to discover nice car dealers! Cons: not a thing more

Sonny Widener and Charlie Poindexter were both very professional and informative. My questions about my car were answered with much care and concern. We found the experience of buying our new 2010 VW Jetta to be VERY satisfactory! There was no pressure. The sale was low key and the sales team was very competent. They were very friendly and the people were great. Pros: low key, very competent Cons: so many great cars it was hard to choose just one! more

Sammy Saved me again! 3/12/2009

I just wanted to Thank First Team's Service Department for always taking great care of me and my car. Sammy in the service department as well as the rest of the team have always made sure I received prompt, curious service. \r \r Today I was in trouble. I locked myself out of my car and my husband was out of town. I called Sammy and asked for his help. Within an hour he had his shuttle driver drop off a key to me and I was on my way. He even followed up with a phone call to make sure I'd been taken care of. It's this kind of service that keeps me loyal to First Team and Sammy.\r more

I bought a new car from First Team. I had such a good experience purchasing the car, I was surprised at how poorly I was treated after the sale. Only after I started complaining to my coworkers did I find out that I wasn't alone. It's amazing just how many horror stories I heard. Learn from my mistake -- don't just research your car; research the dealers too. Pros: They had the car I wanted at a decent price Cons: Terrible service department more
