Film Arts Foundation is a SF institution for indie-filmmakers. Classes run the gamut from documentary production to screenwriting, camerawork, lighting, animation and fundraising. The groups are small – conducive to individualized attention – and a mix of day-long seminars and weekly classes that last an entire semester. I have yet to run into a bad instructor. Most are locals on the production scene, with solid expertise and no shortage of good stories.
FAF members not only get discounts on classes, but legal services, health insurance and equipment rental, plus access to the FAF’s film library, invitations to screenings and networking events and a free subscription to Release Print magazine.
