It was my first Easter at Filippos eating out with my family, if we would of know what we were in for we would of never went there and here is why .......Well First off our reservation was for 4pm and we were not seated until 5pm. You would think after having to wait an hour at the bar ordering drinks for ourselves we would of been offered a drink on the house cause of the wait but we were not offered anyhting not even a sorry .When we finally did get seated we were not served bread until another 15 minutes from then all our waiter did was go on and on about how the bread need to get warm he just didnt stop about it and was so rude. You would think after all that waiting the bread would be at our table. As we receive are Menu we notice that the prices are all of the sudden Jacked up (Penne/Vodka dish about $23.00) and it was a shortened menu (which the hostess did not let me know when i called earlier that week and specifically asked if it was going to be a short menu due to the holiday). Our sodas were warm with no ice cubes, every meat dish was served in the same kind of sauce no variety at all, for an appetizer we ordered a special it was a stuffed calamari which was so fishy and had purple stuff inside it, was not good at all. As for the atmosphere the place was so small we were cramped and there was no music at all. From what ive heard the owner is the cook and his son is the hostess who knows nothing about running a restaurant and the 19yr old nephew is the bartender. After all this was done we still were kind at heart and gave the waiter an extremely generous tip not a thank you or nothing from him as we walked out said goodnight to him he said nothing back and walked away. I would be careful when you leave the place also because your across from the projects.
Pros: Thumbs Down
