stopped in here for restaurant week expecting, after looking over the menu and pricing, something good, if not halfway decent. we left disappointed however. restaurant week menu was $20.10 for soup or salad and a choice of three entrees. i chose the salad, which was good if not super simple (full disclosure: the name was ""simple salad""). just greens and a balsamic. hubby ordered the white bean and bacon soup, which was pretty good. entrees: i ordered the mushroom and artichoke heart risotto, he ordered the fettuccine with two prawns. my risotto was BLAND beyond belief, as was the fettuccine, which tasted like the water it was cooked in. they both had shredded carrots and green beans on top--although they didn't have ANYTHING to do with our dishes--and the veggies were flat-out RAW. weird. needless to say, we skipped dessert. in all fairness, we should have known better when we walked in, as we received downright scowls from the chef in the kitchen while waiting to be seated. her face said that she didn't feel like cooking for us in the slightest. and the waitress was no better. i think she was going for sassy and cute, which came off as rude. after asking for both choices of bread instead of one or the other she remarked, ""what are you? quality control?"" um, no. just a DINER, who won't be coming back. save your twenty bucks and go somewhere good for restaurant week.
