I was torn between giving a 3 or 4 star rating here, so let's call it 3.5 stars. I really wanted to give it 4, but admittedly I've noticed some inconsistencies in the pizza as of late. In my opinion Fellini's pies are best a little less well done than some of the more crispy cardboardy specimens I've been served at times.
Still, I can't complain too much. It gets the job done and provides a great casual hangout spot, whether you're talking about the Howell Mill location or any of the others spread around the city. One thing I've wondered for a while about the Howell Mill location - what's the deal with the huge BBQ and blues themed mural on the back wall? It seems odd and out of place.
When done well (not well done), Fellini's Pizza is right up there with Everybody's as a pre-Varasano's era favorite.
Pros: The salads, Sicilian style pizza
Cons: pizza can be inconsistent
