Best massage ever!!! 4/24/2011

I've had many many massages, and this one was by far the very best. Given by Jill, who actually listened to what I asked her to concentrate on. I woke up with a stiff neck and it felt much better by the end of the session. She also did foot reflexology, which I've had done before and wasn't impressed with (seemed just like a foot rub). This time it was more like a pattern on my foot, which felt amazing. I think the name says it all - Feel Better - because I certainly felt better! more

Great massages for a great price! 4/12/2010

Massage therapists are very thoughtful really seek to make you comfortable. Prices are very affordable, overall experience WONDERFUL! :-) Pros: Affordable, cozy. more

GREAT no-nonsense massage 2/16/2009

I have been going to the Feel Better Reflexology Center for over five years now. This place is great. Through the years I always managed to find a therapist that gives GREAT deep tissue massages. Most recently Jill is amazing!! But, it can sometimes be a little tough to get an appointment with her if you wait until the last minute like I almost always do ;) they almost always squeeze me anyway, if they cannot, there are other phenomenal therapists there as well. Regarding the negative posts about the atmosphere.... Yes, this on the 2nd floor of a home-type building in the city and near/above the spice shot.. but, that is exactly why I like it. Parking is simple. You don't have to deal with the snooty, high-priced, overrated non-sense that comes along with other massage places in the city. FBRC give you personalized attention. It?s welcoming and comfortable. They don't rush you in an out. They TRULY care about how you feel... Before and after your session.. and overall as a people. If you want a great massage without having to deal with a lot pretension - go see Jill! Pros: convenience, cost, location, parking, flexibility Cons: no paper flip-flops sorry :( more

I always feel better 2/12/2009

I'm not sure what that other person was thinking but none of my experiences have been like that. They are very pleasant but you can't please everybody. Especially an angry customer. In any case, they have gone the extra mile to make sure my needs and concerns about the parts of my body that bother me were taken care of. Thanks guys. See you soon. Pros: Great services all around Cons: Need more space for more customers more

Fantastic Reflexology, Excellent Massages 2/10/2009

I feel better just knowing that Feel Better Reflexology is in the neighborhood. Where else can you get such wonderful massages, such fine-tuned and health-giving reflexology treatments, at such affordable prices? No place that I know. The couple who run this service-oriented establishment are amazingly friendly and caring. They do not try to impress the customer with fancy atmospheric tricks. The massage--and their caring before and after, giving you lots of time to relax, water to de-toxify and music if you want it along with the massage--is all the atmosphere you need. There are three massage rooms, all with cozy outfittings and sparkling clean sheets. Although it's right in the middle of the city, on Spring Garden Street right above Penn Herb (handy), there are NO city noises, just a wonderful little hideaway. In this overblown world, where everything is overpriced and you hardly ever get full service for what you pay for, FEEL BETTER Reflexology is the exeption. Whenever I feel stressed or rundown--as just happened, since I'm on deadline and felt myself getting too rundown--I take myself over there. Thank goodness they are here--I don't know what I'd do without them. P.S. I got my first draft in on time, feeling revived after two sessions. Pros: fabulous reflexology and massage; totally reasonable price; neighborhood establishment, caring staff Cons: none more

Better Yet 12/22/2008

This is one "Best Kept Secret", that should not be kept secret. I've been to many spas and different health centers, by far, "Feel Better Reflexology Center" truly lives up to its name. There is a very pleasant atmosphere and the staff are even more pleasant. Most importantly, you do "Feel Better" after leaving the center. They have an array of services and what else????? THE PRICES ARE RIGHT! I've recommended it to my family and friends and now I am recommending it to you. BF Pros: Service, Prices, Friendly Staff Cons: Parking more

POSITIVE VIBRATIONS & AMAZING MASSAGE/REFLEXOLOGY 12/14/2008

Located right in the heart of northern liberties above penn herb company at 2nd and green street. i have experienced over 50 massages at this amazing center. the feel better reflexology center is family owned and operated as well as adding a few great massage therapists in the mix. there are no silk robes provided, no corporate dressed employees, just extreme down -to -earth energy received from the moment you arrive! i read some of the other reviews and was shocked at how one described the enviornment. the center is clean, warm and above all...relaxing. one client posted that the sheets were mismatched, this is called recycling and 100% recommended if not approved by many! another review i noticed said there was gross smells, these fragrants that one will smell come from many different natural oils that each individual therapist uses...olive oil, lemon grass oil, brazilian nut oils, and so many others. another post described the decor as if a fifth grader had decorated..actually, the beautiful woman who co-owns this center spends some of her spare time designing an array of different creations in which one can see throughout the center. her creative flare is abundant and much appreciative. northern liberties is a neighborhood of electic and creative individuals. the feel better reflexology center is the perfect addition to our neighborhood. the therapists are friendly and complete continuing education hours so that you the client can receive the best massage ever! if you are looking for stark white sheets, silk robes, corporate lad employees, expensive prices, and chemically infused oils being used on your largest organ(skin), and computer screens that generate a hello, perhaps you need to look at other massage centers, because the feel better reflexology center is unique and bottom line,YOU LEAVE FEELING BETTER! Pros: CREATIVE FRIENDLY STAFF/ATMOSPHERE Cons: NONE, THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY more

Local, Unpretentious, affordable massages 12/11/2008

I've been to Feel Better Reflexology about 5 or 6 times in the last couple years. (I've had massages at many different places in the city) and their massages and therapists are mostly on par with other comparable treatments in the city. (although you have to be specific about exactly what kind of work you want to have done, they're also very big on foot reflexology, I don't find it does much for ME personally) Also, they have raised their prices somewha in that time- for the shorter half hour massages and 55 minute massages. I tend to go to Feel Better for the convenience as I live in the neighborhood and because of the affordability. However, if you compare to other spas in the city the prices are now almost the same (except for the longer 2 hr massages, those are a great deal!) For those who care about such things, the place does not have much style or a calming ambience. It appears to be a weird doctor's office stuck in a color-challenged time capsule. The furniture and decor is seriously lacking and dated. The equipment and sheets are also a bit budget and old - and you feel like you are at someone's house instead of an impeccable spa. There is no one here to offer you a glass of lemon-basil infused water, or to change in a provided bathrobe. Also, it tends to be slightly noisy because the facility is located on the corner of Green and 2nd you can hear a lot of the car traffic outside. They have a lot of deals with packages and for returning customers, so if you tend to get a lot of massages and don't care for the frills/ambience of a regular spa, this place is for you. Pros: no frills massages, affordability Cons: ambience, decor, equipment/blankets/sheets more

Massage in Northern Liberties 8/23/2008

I live in the neighborhood. My niece suggested the Feel Better Reflexology Center and we decided to try it today. I always go into center city for massage. When we showed up at this place today without an appointment, we were greeted in a friendly and professional manner. After filling out forms asking the appropriate health and allergy questions, we were shown to our therapy rooms. I had a very good massage! My therapist did a really good job on the places where I hold stress and tension. The massage I had today was as good if not better than others I've had in spas in Center City. Of course this place is nothing like the spa atmosphere of the other places in town but it was clean and comfortable and the therapist did a really good job. And the prices are reasonable! I'm sure I will be going back. I love the fact that you can walk in without an appointment! I have no doubt that my niece will be returning too. Pros: Good Prices, Competent Therapists, No Appointments Necessary, Evening Hours Cons: you can hear outside noise and ringing phones more

Great reflexology! 8/22/2008

The reflexology ( foot massage) at this funky little neighborhood place is awesome! I always leave floating on air and feeling much less stressed than when I arrived. No, it's not a spa, but reflects the cool, unpretentious vibe of Northern Liberties. Good spot to de-stress. Pros: friendly staff, reasonable prices, some parking Cons: a little hard to find more

Worst Atmosphere ever 8/21/2008

First I want to start by saying that the staff was very friendly. The place however was horrible. The massage room had a horrible smell. The sheets were not clean, they were all different colors and very rough and VERY wrinkled. My sheets also had bleach spots on them. The place was old and the floors squeaked. The massage was ok, but the smell made it impossible to enjoy. The room wasn't dark enough, and it just looked like a 10yr old decorated it. I would never go back to this place and I would never recommend it to anyone. Please don't waste your money. Pros: friendly staff Cons: dirty rooms and beds more

Great No-Frills Massage 5/26/2008

I've been to fancier center city spas where I received a decent massage but felt like I was paying more for the atmosphere than the service. Feel Better has a convienent location, a clean and pleasant facility, and very friendly staff. My massage was very relaxing and thorough. Well worth the price. I will definitely be back! Pros: Location, price, friendly staff Cons: Traffic noise more

Hidden Treasure 4/11/2008

This place is absolutely amazing! Although it is a little hard to find at first, once you DO find it it is sooo worth it. The business is run by a husband and wife and they are the sweetest and most personable people ever. On your first visit they will give you a picture of a muscular body and give you a highlighter to highlight the parts of your body that you want them to focus on. They keep your sheet on file and everytime you come in they know just what needs work! I've been there plenty of times and I love it! Pros: Staff Cons: Location more

Great for therapeutic massage 2/21/2008

This place was great for a really deep tissue massage. I get frustrated going to other places that offer deep tissue but aren't able to apply real pressure for the whole 90 minutes. This was a great massage at a reasonable price and close to public transportation. more

One of the best massages 1/29/2008

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place, the people are really friendly and willing to accommodate your personal needs. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for the maximum return for their dollar. Pros: ambience, service, availability Cons: parking more

Good massage, friendly people, reasonable prices 1/28/2008

This is the place to go if you want a great massage at a great price. You won't find all the frills of a spa but if you want a nonsense, relaxing massage this is the place to go. I've been there a few times and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and it's not an issue to get an appointment - even on the same day. I would recommend Feel Better to anyone. Pros: excellent massage, friendly staff, reasonable prices Cons: outdated decor more

Good massage, easy appointments. 1/24/2008

It's not a deluxe spa by any means, but you'll get a good massage for a reasonable price. I've tried several different therapists there, and I've always felt better when I leave. And I often show up pretty miserable... They always fit you in quickly and do great work on your muscles! Pros: great massage, affordable, available Cons: ambience more

Great Quality in a No Frills Setting 1/18/2008

For those folks like myself who are very active and deal with great muscle pain, come to this place. True, there are no bath robes, pretty paintings, or other fancy details that come along with a Rittenhouse spa. This place is for the folks who care more about relieving painful limbs than brand names massage products. more

A Day in heaven 1/18/2008

This is the place to come. I came in with back pain and walked out with comfort and relief. I plan to return in the near future. Pros: price, staff, atmosphere more
