Bad Experience 7/1/2010

This would be zero stars if possible. Fay Besharat is an uncaring unknowledgable real estate agent. I would NEVER use her for any transaction. She ONLY looks out for herself and no one else. more

Don't Work With Fay Besharat 12/19/2007

Fay Besharat screwed me with my house purchase, all she cared about was to close the deal and in general I don't think she cares about her clients at all. I found our house in my own and she did not help much with my house search and after all we ended up paying 50 thousand dollars more for the house than it really worthed because she did not care about our interest, just her commission. To make the story short I had a very bad experience with Fay Besharat and I will never ever work with her again and I would never recommended her to anybody else. She is all fake nice when she needs you but as soon as she closes the deal, well you might experience it in your own!!!!!! more

Highly Recommended 10/24/2007

If you want to sell or buy a home there is no one that we would recommend more highly than Fay Besharat. When my wife and I were married we decided that neither of our homes would be right for our family. Fay sold both of our houses, which had a combined value of over $4 Million, for full price. During the entire process there was never a question of who she was working for. Her calm confidence even during difficult negotiations was always invaluable. Not once did we ever feel Fay was concerned about "making commission" - she always put us first. During the time we were selling our homes we also purchased a new home using Fay. We made offers on several homes and again Fay never pushed us to "Make a Deal". She kept us patient and when we had found the right home she was bale to negotiate a very favorable deal for us. I have three successful businesses that were built on providing customers with more than they expected. If you are looking for a real estate agent who will do that for you then hire Fay. more

Success! 10/15/2007

We have sold and purchased homes in three continents and know from experience that choosing the right real estate agent is of utmost importance. We believe that her superior commitment to advertising and her experience in the area increased our chance of a successful sale and we were not disappointed. The entire process was very smooth and we were impressed by her efficiency and ease of our sale. more

Quantity Not Quality 10/15/2007

She bosts on her sales volumn and her marketing dollars. However, her service DOES NOT EXCEED EXPECTATIONS. I don't know how she can get away with some of the things she does to make commission, but someone should file a complaint against her to department of real estate. Call 360-664-6484, Fax 360-570-4941 and email: RealEstate@dol.wa.gov. She not only misrepresents the home's future values and current situations, she has two faces which she keeps 1 for the buyers and 1 for sellers. And, if she is representing you as a buyer and she is a listing agent herself, WATCH OUT!!! Don't ever get into contract with her as a dual agent. She will make you regret for years to come, because she inflates the price and gives you discount off her commission to push you to buy and list with her. You will feel good about it until you get into the house to realize that you over payed for it...and it was not a good buy for you. As far as listing with her, she makes promises after promises, but all the money she spends on her marketing and ads does NOT bring the best buyer or the best price for your listings, because she doesn't really have your best interest. She just want you to be that statistic on her next magazine spread in her millions of dollars of solds and listed. Don't be. There are other more ethical, dignified and more cooperative agents out there. She just has more advertising and marketing every corner just like a chain of fast food places or coffee shops, you know which ones. more

Hard Worker 6/13/2007

Fay worked very hard selling our home. It was a challenge and we knew that only somebody skilled and dedicated like Fay could help make it happen. more

Fay Besharat was a great agent. 6/5/2007

Fay Besharat did a wonderful job selling our home in Kirkland. We were especially impressed with her marketing, and the help and tips she gave us to prepare our house to go on the market. Her photographer did a fantastic job, as did her stager. Fay was always available and and quickly returned my calls on the rare occasions that she didn't answer her cell. It was a relief that our home sold in just one week, as we were under a lot of stress, and were moving out of state. Thank you Fay! Sincerely, Robin Holcomb more

I agree 5/10/2007

We are real estate investors who buy and sell property frequently - she has many signs advertising listings - which obviously confirms that if anything else she does NOT lack skill in the marketing area - but when you are trying to find representation to purchase or sell a piece of property - marketing skills are not all that your are looking for. Her "representation" of buyers and sellers are not only lacking but very poor. If you expect someone to go to bat for you - I would not rely on this agent. Quite frankly - as buyers - we would not only NOT consider her as a buyers agent but we would definitely not purchase a listing from Fay Besharat either. more

I Disagree. Fay Besharat is an outstanding agent whose marketing skills are bar none. 4/26/2007

I retained Fay to sell my house in the west of Market area of Kirkland in July 2005. The house, originally built in the 1940s with two remodels in subsequent years, was to say the least a bit "unique" and different from other homes in the area. It took special effort to present the house and all it offered, and get for me the price I expected. Fay undertook great marketing efforts in getting attention drawn to the house. It was comforting to be on a plane, reading the Wall Street Journal, and seeing an advertisement about your own house for sale. I also enjoyed flipping through newspapers and magazines and seeing my house. After bringing several buyers to the table, only to have me decline the offers, enough interest was generated to actually have two buyers in a "bidding war" that resulted in a sale at a very satisfactory price with a tremendously easy closing. I commend Fay for her perseverance and efforts undertaken in getting this house sold, and would recommend her as an agent. Should you have any further questions, you are welcome to contact me at 425-890-1110. Sincerely, Kirk Demeter more

Very poor home selling experience 6/7/2005

If you look around Kirkland, you'll see Fay Besharat's name on a lot of home sale listings. As a result, my wife and I chose Fay to sell our house this past winter, as well as use her as a buying agent, but sadly ended up regretting it very much. We felt very poorly served and advised throughout the process, and would warn others away from this "volume" agent. Fay's general approach is to get you to take the first offer you get and move the property, as well as make an full list offer on the buying side. No negotiation means quick and high volume, which is how she gets more results for herself, which is why she then seems like the most successful agent (and why we sadly chose her). She was very pushy for us to accept offers and make low counter offers, even saying we should consider an offer $100K below our asking price. She said we'd be "rude" if we didn't counter, and we finally ended up lowering our ask $10K. That was accepted and the next day we got an offer for our original full price that we couldn't then accept - effectively costing us $10K. On the buying side, she never even bothered to see the house we wanted, but kept peddling other houses she had as her own listings. We eventually ended up with a full price offer for the other house, and thought she hardly negotiated at all. Ultimately, we controlled the buying and selling decisions and so have the responsibility of the final numbers, but didn't feel we had an advocate. Most disturbingly though, we didn't feel respected as a client throughout the process. Fay was late for EVERY meeting with us - sometimes as much as an hour late. That to us is always a sign that the person doesn't feel you are very important. I hesitate to post such a negative review, but really feel like warning others of our troubles in what is such a normally important decision for most people. more
